In the 2021 season, the East Flemish champion was once again on top of his game. Despite his busy work life, Dirk achieved sensational victories and results on the lofts in Kruisem. He took the win on amongst others Limoges, Bourges, Toury...which is impressive on itself, but he does this in an extremely competitive field. No surprise that he can be found at the top of several highly regarded championships. The first-class breeding loft is definitely behind many of these successes, as well as the tough selection that is enforced.

In the past years, Dirk has become one of the big guns in pigeon sport. Having previously won National Bourges, winning 1st National Chateauroux against more than 20,000 pigeons certainly made an impression. A fantastic victory on account of super pigeon Marcel (BE15-4073372).
Deroose steps onto the podium at the KBDB ace pigeon competition
The 2nd National Ace pigeon Long Distance KBDB is another crack that put the Deroose name on the map. Zoom (BE16-4153057) is one of the many athletes that ensured top results in the past seasons. With a 7th and 30th National on Limoges and Tulle against approximately 10,000 pigeons, this super racer managed to take a podium spot at the national KBDB ace pigeon competition.
Furthermore, we find Quatro 3 (BE15-4073333) amongst the elite of the KBDB ace pigeons. This time on the extreme long distance, as Quatro 3 managed to become 8th National Ace pigeon KBDB in this discipline due to fantastic performances on Agen and Narbonne. He is a typical Deroose pigeon: strong and accomplished on the toughest of disciplines.
A fancier like Dirk, for whom even the best is hardly good enough, doesn't drop the ball when it comes to breeding. Deroose's focus lies on adding on to the existing quality. When talking about 'the best', in the context of pigeon racing, names such as New Freddy come up. This world famous pigeon, who became 1st National Ace pigeon KBDB and achieved countless top results and provincial victories, needs no further introduction. Countless lofts have had successes thanks to this icon's offspring. Moreover, New Freddy is one of the stars at PEC! Dirk also houses other golden bloodlines, including those of stock pigeon Piscou. A renowned breeder that has bred many children and grandchildren that flourish on the long distance and extreme long distance on various super lofts. Piscou originates from the best of Chris Hebberecht. In the neighboring town of Nazareth, Dirk purchased the National winner on Argenton and both parents from Andre Van Herzeele. A golden transfer that, in combination with the names mentioned above, lead to Deroose settling in amongst the champions.
Dirk is continuously searching for quality and the extreme long distance discipline is getting more and more attention. Especially the super pair, Golden Ghost (2nd Nat. Ace pigeon Extreme Long Distance) x Queen Rosanna (daughter 1st National Barcelona NL) seems to reach the golden standard in terms of quality. Knowing that the colony also features the phenomenal bloodlines of Niels and his descendants (1st, 5th, 9th, ... on a national level), we can assure you that the future is looking particularly bright for this East Flemish champion.
