The Embregts-Theunis combination dates back from the time when Peter Theunis was racing together with his father-in-law. Peter decided to continue on his own from his current location but he decided to keep the name. He has excelled both at provincial and national level, winning numerous championship titles over the years. He has not missed a single national award ceremony either. His pigeon breed is capable of performing at a very high level, and his breeders Golden Cannonball, Miss Goldnugget, Rocketeer, Dragon Rocket, Super Rossi and Witbuik continue to breed new generations of prize winners. Peter’s breeding approach has always been to try and cross his own breeders with some of the finest bloodlines across Belgium and The Netherlands. One of the pillars of this loft is without doubt Golden Canonball. This pigeon won a 2nd Sens (1,112 p.), a 3rd Creil (1,852 p.), a 5th Orleans (992 p.) and an 11th NPO Sens (16,382 p.). He developed into a top class breeder later on as well: he is now the sire of Cannonballboy (1st Nat. Orleans 58,925 p.) and Rocket King (9th Nat. Orleans 19,692 p.). One of the pigeons that clearly illustrates Peter’s breeding strategy, crossing his own breed to youngsters of other renowned pigeons, is Super Rossi. The dam of Super Rossi is Miss Goldnugget, which is in turn a granddaughter of Witbuik. Miss Goldnugget won a 6th NPO Orleans (8,136 p.). She is not only the dam of Super Rossi but also the dam of Valentino (1st St.-Quentin 8,116 p. and 3rd & 7th NPO Sezanne 12,647 p.).
