Freddy and Jacques Vandenheede from Zingem (East-Flanders, BE) can look back on yet another highly successful weekend. They started their winning streak with a provincial first prize from Chateauroux on 9th of June, and team F&J has continued to deliver, with a 1-2-7 Prov. Guéret YLs on 30rd of June (8 birds in the top 50), and two 2nd Provincial prizes from Montélimar.
These prizes were won with their first nominated pigeon, a talented racing bird that won a 2nd Prov. Vierzon three weeks earlier. He is a grandson of the iconic breeder and 1st Nat. Ace Pigeon Longer Middle Distance KBDB 2010 New Freddy. The yearlings did great as well, starting with a 2nd Provincial, just like in Valence. It was a very successful weekend!
Today, the 1st of April, was the closing day of 8 different auctions. It was a very successful auction weekend, with an average sale price of just over 2,960 EURO/pigeon. We briefly take you through each of the auctions.
Bender BE11-4220607 made a name for himself winning a title of 1st Nat. Ace Pigeon KBDB 2012, followed by an Olympiad title one year later. And he continues to deliver national ace pigeons and top prizes, this time as a breeding bird!
The final of the Million Dollar Race SAMDR took place on 3rd of February in Sun City, South Africa. The pigeons of Freddy and Jacques Vandenheede were always at the front of the race, winning a 5th and 6th prize in the final over 521km.
The 2017 racing season was a memorable year, with two national first prizes, 8 provincial first prizes, and a title of General Champion of Belgium, and General Champion of Belgium KBDB.

On top of that , they managed to win four provincial first prizes in a single month. It goes without saying that the Vandenheede pigeons are in excellent form.

They did it again: Freddy and Jacques claim their ninth national victory from Libourne since their collaboration in 2008. This year's race from Libourne was by no means a walk in the park.

Last week the team celebrated its provincial victory from Valence, and last weekend they were victorious once again, this time winning a provincial first prize from Chateauroux against 4,740 yearlings.
Besides a national, three zonal and three provincial victories Freddy & Jacques Vandenheede won an impressive 7 top 10 prizes in the national championships KBDB this season. Or to put it differently: 2016 has been one of many highly successful seasons for the combination.

The Vandenheede pigeons were once again unbeatable in the weekend of 9 July: they won a total of 5 first prizes in the club from Limoges (olds and yearlings), Argenton (olds and yearlings), and Orleans (young birds). They achieved great results at national level as well, with no less than 24 pigeons finishing in the national top-100. This is quite an achievement!
Team Vandenheede basketed 52 pigeons for Argenton, and they won a 1st National old birds, a 1st and 2nd Provincial old birds with their two first nominated, as well as a 1st Zone A2 yearlings. Additionally, six of them have won a national top 16 prize, while ten pigeons have finished in the top 100. Quite a performance!

The Vandenheede brothers have really set the tone in the first provincial classic of the longer middle distance from Vierzon: they claimed a double first prize at club level, and they achieved an impressive overall result at provincial level.
In 2015 Freddy & Jacques added a 14th national first prize and an additional 7 national championship titles KBDB to their palmares. This is all thanks to a collection of super class pigeons led by two passionate pigeon fanciers.
The closing weeks of the 2015 season have proved particularly successful for Freddy and Jacques: they have won 16 first prizes at club level, and several more top prizes at provincial and national level.
They not only managed to win a first national against 6,116 yearlings, their best pigeon was also the fastest overall. It seems their excellent form in the past few weeks has eventually led to a national first prize. This is already their 8th national victory since they started working together in 2008.

The Vandenheede brothers take the win in zone A in the race from Cahors, after having already won a first prize in zone A in the long distance opener from Limoges 2015.
This adds to a total of five national championship and ace pigeon titles in just three years’ time, which is quite impressive. These national titles were won by a pigeon loft that has dominated the field for years.
Standing there every year, among the leading national lights, is something only a few people can do. When closely examining the preliminary rankings of the Belgian national ace pigeons of 2014, we can see that Freddy and Jacques have once again ranked three pigeons. Not easy!
In addition, 11 yearlings and one old bird of Vandenheede finished in the national top 100, which is quite exceptional! This was a great performance, and it will make them one of the candidates for winning the national ace pigeon title long distance yearlings KBDB.

On the 18th of June 2011 a very important Chinese delegation from the Chinese embassy in Belgium, paid a visit to the Vandenheede brothers in Zingem, along with PIPA & Gordon Chiu (the most famous and best pigeon fancier in China ).
