A total of 223 pigeons were sold on Sunday and Monday across 11 different auctions, with a total revenue of 529,100 euro. This resulted in an average sale price of 2373 euro/bird.

Sunday was the closing day for 10 different auctions, in which 215 were put up for auction. They raised 389,725 euro together, with an average sale price of 1,812 euro per bird. We briefly discuss each individual auction below.

Even though they are still fairly young, these two birds have already developed into a very special breeding pair. Hardy Krüger refers to them as the 'Giant Couple' but that does not tell you much about them of course. What we do know, is that this pair had already bred quite a number of outstanding pigeons.

We travelled to Rommerskirchen (Nordrhein-Westfalen) to visit one of the best pigeon fanciers of Germany, and we had a great time there. We were really looking forward to meeting this likable pigeon fancier in person and to taking a closer look at his pigeon loft. We had not expected to see a pigeon collection of such high quality; we were thrilled.

Hardy has received a constant stream of acknowledgements from fanciers informing him of how his breed has been setting the skies alight wherever they have gone. From England to South Africa, the pigeons of Krüger origin have performed with terrific success.

Große Auflässe und Flüge über 400 Kilomter wurden in ganz Deutschland gestartet. Den größten Flug am Wochenende veranstaltete der Regionalverband 250 mit 22721 Tauben. Friedrich Bohlmann aus Paderborn gewann die grosse Konkurrenz. Am kommenden Wochenende wird der erste von drei Ruhrgebietsflügen gestartet, mit erwarteten 45000 Tauben ist es der größte Auflass in Deutschland.
