Balegemse Noene with the absolute top of the Belgian pigeon fanciers the brothers Marc and Franky Van De walle (Zwalm)
A super year and owners of all round pigeons for the following decennium.
Whoever thought the death of father Marcel in 2002 would mean the end of the Van De Walle colony will be disappointed.
They quietly built up the old stock further with the thread being.
This powerful and excellent breeding stock delivered top pigeons, we are thinking of the ‘Den 128’ from 99 which was 2nd Olympiad pigeon in the sport class Long Distance in the Portuguese Porto or ‘The World champion 341’ from 99. This clapper was 2nd provincial Ace pigeon Long Distance in 2000 and 4th National Ace pigeon 2000 .
When we now look at this colony we can establish that we are speaking of pigeon sport in family context. Marc and mother Lucienne take care of the ins and outs of the daily care. Cleaning the lofts twice a day, feeding and watering the pigeons and training the pigeons a great deal.
Franky is the man who helps where necessary after he has finished work. Daughter-in-law Marianne takes care of the administration, making up the pedigrees ...etc..., granddaughter Elke is always ready to watch out for the pigeons. No pigeons can wander around the garden as the boxer Bruno is trained to keep them working .
But what is the secret of this colony ?
First and foremost a correct and punctual care system. Spotless hygiene, fine well ventilated lofts, the experienced eyes of Marc and Franky (we are 100% convinced that they have been given these via the genes of father Marcel), just like their pigeons, these brothers possess a ‘bite’; everything there is dominated by the pigeons. The most important thing is probably a fine, well-balanced breeding team.
If you get hold of one or ten pigeons, they are all the same type!
So as stated in the title, these really are all-round pigeons. Whether they race from Noyon, in the middle distance or the extreme long distance, the pigeons always hold their own.
Who, in the Belgian pigeon fancier’s army can say that in the national races they clocked 100% with 1 + 2 with the yearlings? And the brothers also hold their own with the youngsters .
