The total auction of the Murk colony marks the end of a very successful era in Dutch extreme long distance racing. While some time ago a heavy blow had to be taken with the theft of unique breeding and racing pigeons, it is now the dreaded 'pigeon lung' that throws a spanner in the works. To such an extent that quitting the beloved pigeon sport is the only remaining option. All pigeons will be auctioned, with the leading pigeons being the 1st Nat. Narbonne winner 'Lucky 13', 4th Nat. Marseille Ace Pigeon and 8th Nat. Pau Ace Pigeon 'Marseille Lady', and many other national stars and talents. The auction also includes children of international icons such as 'Cas', 'New Laureaat', 'Helen' and top pigeons from champions such as Ad Fortuyn, Verweij-De Haan, etc., etc.

By bringing in pigeons from the best West European strains, the Alpdag brothers secured a very strong breeding colony. An important role is reserved for pigeons from the Porsche 911 dynasty of the PIPA Elite Center, or the Golden Pair Wacko Freddy x Lieve. Since 2015, these bloodlines have ensured that PEC pigeons dominate the Belgian pigeon sport on the long distance and heavy middle distance races, to a degree which has never been seen before. Descendants of the Golden Pair have claimed no less than 17x 1st National victories in Belgium; an incredible number. Alpdag offers youngsters from their best breeders; from direct children of Porsche 911, Louise, Nestsister Boxster, Miss Million 483, etc. Breeders whose children and grandchildren have already achieved outstanding performances, in Turkey, but certainly also at One Loft Races worldwide.

A focus purely on International One Loft Races; With several Top 10 places in Finals and high ranking racers in Ace Pigeon competitions, Frits & Wytse Mantel quickly achieved successes in this specific discipline.

Success was even achieved on One Loft Races with the 6th Final and 10th Super Ace at the Victoria Falls OLR 2023. With no less than 13x 1st Prize in major competitions and series like they have never been seen before, André and Bert Leideman confirm they own the best allround loft in the Netherlands. With Goed Grijs, Silver Dream and the Roeper pigeons they built a strong foundation. New wonder pair Arturo x Tila turned out to be one of the best breeding couples ever and now the pair Monello x Selassie is also proving to be a guarantee of success! One of the youngest but most popular One Loft Races is the Afrika Pro. 15 weeks of competition with a team of (maximum) 10 pigeons under selective South African conditions; this One Loft Race can certainly be called revolutionary. The Sprint Series is a new addition, raced across the first 8 flights up to 300 km, where the 1st ace pigeon wins the Green Jacket; 1st Ace Pigeon Sprint. The best fancier (based on his 2 fastest pigeons across all flights) and the best pigeon across all flights (with the highest average speed) respectively earn the prestigious Black Jacket & Blue Jacket. These titles earn just as much honor as the winners of the Final. A total of 1,698 pigeons were entered on Race 1 and 960 pigeons were still in competition during the Final; a very good result during the entire series, which was spared from races with major losses. The Top 30 Final and the Top 30 Ace Pigeons will be included in this special auction; the best pigeons of the first AfrikaPro edition.
