This year, a few races were held above 400 kilometres exclusively for the French speaking fanciers from Belgium. The success was immediate with several thousands of pigeons entered for the 5 races scheduled (3 x Bourges & 2 x Vierzon). All the best fanciers from this part of the country entered their birds to struggle for the final victory. One loft impressed us very much: the partnership of Thibaut-Boons. For the third Bourges of the program, scheduled for the 24th of July, the results of this loft were astonishing. See by yourself:

The winning yearling is a cock that already showed his qualities last year as a youngster, being even considered by his manager as his best youngster. This season, after a promising start to the season, he only won random prizes but he finished by winning the interprovincial race from Bourges. And when we take a look at his pedigree, we quickly understand how it became possible

Mother: Sylver Kannibaaltje, direct from Bart Geerinckx and a direct daughter of the legendary Wittekop Sylvester, famous breeder for Bart Geerinckx, paired to Golden Dirkje, a hen directly purchased from Dirk Van Dyck and a double grand-daughter of the legendary Kannibaal.

A new takeover
Everybody already knew Audrey at the Thibaut-Boons loft, the hen who became the mother of Olympic Niko, 1st National Ace Pigeon Middle Distance old birds KBDB '14 and Olympic Pigeon Budapest '15. But it is now clear that another breeding hen is starting to overcome Audrey. In fact, the interprovincial victory confirms the important influence of the mother from the winner, Sylver Kannibaaltje. She was already the mother of Sylvie, a racing hen born in 2014 and who was classified as 7th National Ace Pigeon Longer Middle Distance Yearlings KBDB last year. There is also a big chance that she will represent Belgium in the next Olympiad in Brussels this winter.

The Thibaut-Boons partnership has been the best middle distance loft from Belgium for several years now. The total auction held during the winter 2012 has not stopped the rise of this fantastic loft that won a double national title only two years later. They already triumphed several times in the national championships of the KBDB with five golden medals. There is only one thing missing, a national victory on the performance list of Jean-Marc. We hope this will happen during the coming years, or during the coming weeks. Congratulations to all the family.
