In fact, this yearthe wind was predominantly north-northeast, a wind not really good for the area where he lives, and this without talking about the ‘mass’, which was cruelly missing.
It must be said that he didn’t choose the easy way because, besides the heavy middle distance races, he races into the ‘petit club Fleurus’ for the small middle distance races where he has to struggle against fanciers like Stockx, De Roeck, Draye, Deno-Herbots,Tournelle, Vandersmissen, Vanlint, etc.
However, he managed to stay ahead of the game and it reflects perfectly the quality housed in the loft. But who really doubted it?
Let us remember that for him, being present on the national championships podium has become a habit, after his two victories in the same year in the national championship yearlings and in the Ace pigeon national middle distance in 2005… without forgetting his third place in the national championship small middle distance 2009.
A marvellous breeder
Being one of the Walloon (French speaking side of Belgium) best fanciers for a while, it is quite natural that PIPA came into contact with him last year. During the presentation of his colony, we were surprised to come across one of the best kept secrets of Belgium, in his number one breeder, the ‘old birds Pros’ (5025754/01) (say ‘Old Pros’).
This pigeon, purchased directly from the great champion Pros Roosen, who unfortunately died last week, presents an extraordinary reproductive card so you can easily say that he is one of the best breeders of Belgium at the moment. This pigeon has the ability to produce natural cracks in the first generation but also and above all, descendants in the second, third and fourth generation are far better than the first!
What you have to know is that Jean-Marc did not skimp on the means concerning the lines with which he crossed the ‘Pros’: he was looking for the best from Gheenens-Peeters from Maastricht and from Deno-Herbots.
Each year, new references complete his ‘business card’.
In addition, the descendants are flying very well in other lofts. This year, two great grandsons firstly won the 12th national Bourges out of 30.759 young birds and secondly one is a top candidatefor the national title of ace pigeon sprint with a total coefficient of 5,662%, raced by a small fancier in the area. Amazing isn’t it?
Jean-Marc, modest and simple by nature, has never sought the publicity around his colony and, although he has for a while been convinced of the breeding capacity of his line, he never made a big deal about it.

During our sales, we have set ourselves the objective of introducing you to quality pigeons, and this in the most exclusive way possible. Jean-Marc, eager to provide something ‘special’, has therefore decided to sell one of his figureheads, since it is neither more or less than ‘Jade’ (8005651/09) which was identified as the 23th best youngster in Belgium last year in the four national races for youngsters, clinching the titles of ‘as pigeonneaux’ and ‘As des As pigeonneaux’ at the prestigious championships from ‘La colombophilie belge’.
In the year 2010, she has not lost of her lust as you can see by checking her results in the ‘Auctions’.
