Gevaert-Lannoo (Meigem, BE) win 2 x first Provincial Bourges

The Gevaert-Lannoo combination has claimed a provincial first prize from Bourges (23rd of July), both in the old birds' and the yearlings' race. Their provincial victories did not come as a surprise, since they had already won three second provincial prizes in the past two weekends. The pigeons from Meigem are clearly in great shape.

The Gevaert-Lannoo pigeon family has a reputation for dominating pigeon races and for winning important prizes and titles. Paul and Carlos are now having a spectacular 2016 season as well, and we should not be surprised to see them win several championship titles at provincial and national level by the end of the season. They have always managed to get their first nominated pigeons to win the earliest prizes.

Gevaert-Lannoo won three top prizes at national level with their first three nominated in the national race from Chateauroux on Friday 10th of June, and they continued to perform exceptionally well in the following weeks as well. Their pigeons have been winning early prizes on a steady basis, and in July they won at least one first prize at club level every single week. They have also won several provincial top prizes, including most notably three second places.
They eventually managed to win a provincial first prize as well, in last weekend's race from Bourges (23rd of July). They claimed victory in the province of East Flanders, both with the old birds and the yearlings. In fact, their winning old bird, Rambo Junior, was also the fastest pigeon overall against 5,861 pigeons that competed in Bourges.

We take a look at their best results in the month of July:

It is no secret that you can achieve great things with a pigeon breed that is in great form. The Gevaert-Lannoo combination demonstrates this week after week. They have been almost impossible to beat throughout the month of July, and this resulted in two provincial first prizes from Bourges. Paul and Carlos are having one of ther most successful racing seasons ever, and there is still plenty of racing to be done, including of course the young birds' classics. We wonder what the pigeons of Gevaert-Lannoo have in store for us over the next 7 weeks.
