Some of you might still remember his 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 12th and 13th prize in the teletext race from Pithiviers against 14,959 pigeons, the race in which he had no less than 7 pigeons finish in the top 13. Well, Frans has managed to exceed that performance in 2014, scoring an impressive 1-2-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12-13-14-16-17-18-19-20-21-22-23-24-27-29-30-36-37-etc (48/49) in the race from Charleville against 3,996 young birds, winning 27 prizes per 10! This achievement made him the 2014 middle distance champion in Province 4 Limburg, while also winning the title of 1st pigeon champion middle distance and 2nd pigeon champion one day long distance in his province. One of this loft’s excellent breeding pigeons is Willem NL07-4097802, a cock that was inbred from Koopman’s Noble Blue. He originates from Noble Blue NL97-2252940 x Lioba NL99-5971341 and Noble Blue NL97-2252940 x Annelies NL99-5971341, which are actually some of Gerard Koopman’s very best bloodlines (obtained via Jan Hofmans and the late Wim Gelling).
