Het voorbije weekend werden er duiven gestolen bij Mark Gilbert. Het gaat om 18 duiven waarvan de ringnummers hieronder staan weergegeven. Mark heeft £ 20.000 veil voor de tip die ervoor zorgt dat alle duiven weer veilig op hun hok terechtkomen.

One hundred and eighty five UK pigeons were entered along with sixteen thousand, nine hundred and twenty one European birds into the international race from Perpignan. They were liberated at 05.55 hrs UK time with a light north westerly breeze at the liberation site. This was expected to change to south westerly over the later stages of the race.

Mark Gilbert uit Winkfield wint de nationale vlucht uit Marseille in het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Zijn duif arriveerde maandagochtend om 10u41 na een vlucht van 1051,260 km. Twee weken geleden won Mark ook de nationale vlucht uit Barcelona met de BICC (British International Championship Club).

The BICC were racing in conjunction with the international birds from Pau. Three hundred and sixty eight British pigeons were sent to compete with the best of Europe. The convoy was liberated at 5.45 a.m. into light variable wind conditions that were initially west in Mid France and then more southerly as the birds approached England.
