Scheele Brothers (Terneuzen, NL) once more outstanding and in excellent form in 2019

Pigeon racing can be amazing. Just ask Jaap and Adriaan Scheele from Terneuzen. In our earlier reports from 2018 and 2019, and again in this article from 2020, we have talked about their terrific generation of young birds from 2017.

The pigeons from this 2017 generation are once more at the basis of a spectacul racing season.

We talked about their most important racing birds in great detail in some of our earlier articles: Annika, Speed, Rico, and others. These talented birds wer all born in 2017, and they were incredibly successful again in 2019.

With the help of this team of top quality birds, the brothers became 2nd provincial champion middle distance young birds in 2017, and they took a 1-2-3-4-6-8 and 10th place in the provincial ace pigeon championship middle distance YBs. That same generation, now a group of yearlings, also claimed the title of 1st Provincial Champion middle distance in 2018. And in 2019, as two year olds, they did even better, claiming the following titles:

1st Provincial Champion middle distance Province 1
1st Provincial ace pigeon middle distance Province 1
1st Provincial ace pigeon Allround Province 1
1st Golden Provincial Champion Province 1
3rd Provincial ace pigeon Allround Proince 1

A world class performance.

Rico NL17-3711295

Even though this has been an incredibly successful foundation, some pigeons still appear to have an edge over their teammates. A perfect example would be none other than racing cock Rico, with ring number NL17-3711295, a pigeon with soft plumes and a strong build. Rico was bred from the combination of Tygo x Eline, and it is worth noting that Eline is a full daughter of top pair Sonny x Cher. For Rico's pedigree, click here.

You can tell from the palmares of this young racing cock that he is a magnificent pigeon. Keep in mind that this cock was not raced in the natour competition in 2019, and that he was kept home for a while during the season as well. This means his championship titles were won despite contesting six fewer races compared to his opponents.

Besides being a fantastic racing bird, Rico is now an important member of the breeding team as well, even though he has only bred a limited number of youngsters. Still, he is already the sire of:
1st ace pigeon sprint young birds 2019 Entente Prov. 1
3rd Prov. Ace Pigeon sprint Jong 2019
and of NL18-059, winner of a 1-1-2-2-4-5-6-8-.. of 250 pigeons on average.

All in all, the Scheele brothers have a promising future with such a talented breeder like Rico in their collection.

These pigeons are tough to match.

Adriaan and Jaap have had a team of promising newcomers in their collection, that are eager to deliver in the next couple of years. We wish them all the best; we are keeping an eye on this loft.
