Freddy & Jacques Vandenheede (Zingem, BE) take a convincing win from Limoges and Argenton

The Vandenheede pigeons were once again unbeatable in the weekend of 9 July: they won a total of 5 first prizes in the club from Limoges (olds and yearlings), Argenton (olds and yearlings), and Orleans (young birds). They achieved great results at national level as well, with no less than 24 pigeons finishing in the national top-100. This is quite an achievement!

The racing team from Zingem continues to perform outstandingly well: the Vandenheede pigeons are often impossible to beat. Their level of performance has resulted in numerous provincial, zonal and national top prizes. Most of their opponents have had no answer to the Vandenheede supremacy.

Two weeks ago Team Vandenheede won the national first prize from Argenton I old birds with super class hen Fashion, and they achieved a great overall result as well. Many fanciers agreed this achievement would be hard to match. But the pigeons of Vandenheede wanted more. Last week they went on to win a 1st and 2nd club old birds and a 1st prize club yearlings from La Souterraine. The fanciers from Zingem have put in another brilliant performance indeed.

Impressive overall result from Limoges

During the race from Limoges no less than six racing birds arrived home within one minute (one old bird and five yearlings), and they all won a natioanl top result. Keep in mind this is by no means a sprint race; the pigeons had to cover almost 623km between Limoges and Zingem. The rest of the team followed in their slipstream. This is another world class performance that impressed many of their direct opponents:

Tough to beat

Freddy and Jacques are fanciers who compete in a high number of races, and often with a large number of pigeons. And they have every right to do so. They had basketed a total of 119 pigeons last weekend, but it takes more than that to be able to win 24 national top 100 prizes. It takes a top quality breed, excellent form and a talented group of pigeons to achieve such results. We think anyone can relate to that. Many fanciers need an entire season to win so many prizes. Keep in mind that team Vandenheede won the two old birds races from Argenton and Limoges with their first nominated. They also won a total of 77 prizes at national level (per 4), which is quite a stunning result. We highly doubt if anyone can do better than that.
