The Marc Pollin pigeons are without doubt excellent all-rounders, capable of winning anything between sprint races and long distance races. But they do favour the longer distance races, especially the grand middle distance and the races of the national calendar. The pigeons really stand out in difficult and demanding races with unfavourable weather conditions.
Over the last few weeks, the pigeons were indeed successful in difficult and demanding races: multiple first prizes were won in Snellegem. Their biggest success was of course the provincial win in Poitiers last weekend, in which only five pigeons were able to reach a speed of 1100m/m provincially. It was a glorious day for the Pollin pigeons with five first prizes locally and 8 pigeons in the top-87 provincially! In tours, about two weeks ago, the pigeons also won two first prizes in similar weather conditions. There were many successes in the month of May, including first prizes in L’Aigle, Le Mans and Bourges: the Pollin colony took no less than six first prizes this month.

These tables show that the pigeons are getting better week after week, and that they are almost in top form. This will give them confidence in the national classics, especially the middle distance opener in Limoges and the national Chateauroux this weekend. Marc Pollin is a name to remember!
