29/09/2013 - When I started racing pigeons back in the early 1980s the prominent name in pigeon racing into Scotland was that of George and William Macaloney. They were the loft to beat at any distance, the loft everyone in this area wanted to know "what time are they in?"
21/03/2013 - The trio of father George, son William and grandson Paul Macaloney of Coatbridge are without doubt one of the most consistent breeding/racing lofts in Scotland. Many substantial wins in large birdage and ace bird races at every level from federation, Lanarkshire Social Circle, Scottish Homing Union and the Scottish National Flying Club (SNFC) have been won.
11/01/2013 - In the one of the most difficult and testing seasons on record, this partnership have just completed another successful year by winning 14 federation trophies including all averages and finishing federation champions for the 13th time in the 28 years since joining the Lanarkshire Fed, an unbelievable strike rate of nearly 50% in the most competitive federation in Scotland.
