11/12/2015 - This success story began with the invaluable pigeon “Gouden Bol” in 1970, and this loft continues to achieve great results with a breed that is now based on Topstar and his son Xtra. Their recipe for success is breeding pigeons from outstanding prize winners and cracks.

09/12/2014 - Raoul and Xavier claimed a first Nat. Cahors 2008 with Xtra this season, and other fanciers have been successful with descendants of Topstar as well: Erik Limbourg a 1st Internat. Perpignan 2014 and Gaby Vandenabeele a 1st Nat. Tulle 2014. This is an impressive bloodline!

06/01/2014 - They have been at the top for almost 50 years. They continue to perform at a top level season after season in the provincial and national longer middle distance and the international long distance, which is something not many fanciers can say.

14/01/2013 - We regard this as yet another highlight in the amazing career of pigeon racing legend Raoul and his son Xavier Verstraete. They have undoubtedly one of the most celebrated pigeon lofts in our country!

08/01/2012 - For more than 40 years the East-Flemish success formation of father Raoul and son Xavier Verstraete have raced at the top of our national pigoen sport! The brand new title of ‘General Champion of Belgium KBDB 2011’ is then also very thick icing on the cake… the crowning of 40 years pigeon sport at an elevated level!

01/01/2011 - The title of General Champion by the Belgian Verstandhouding is one of the most prestigious titles handed out every year, and which every long distance fancier dreams of adding to his honours list!

07/01/2010 - Near the towers of ‘Onze Lieve Vrouw’ of Oostakker - Lourdes there has been a great deal of pigeon history written in the lofts of father Raoul and son Xavier Verstraete. Almost 40 years uninterrupted pigeon success… admit it, it is only reserved for a few of us.
