27/06/2018 - Patrick Vanoppen (52) and Carlo Luyten (54) have been racing as a combination in Herk-de-Stad since 2009. Their double provincial first prize from Gien shows that they have a strong group of breeders at their disposal.

29/11/2017 - The Vanoppen-Luyten combination has grown used to winning national and provincial first prizes and ace pigeon titles. These can be mostly attributed to super class hen Diamantje (BE04-8037130), whose descendants have been setting new benchmarks in the national races.

28/11/2017 - The Vanoppen-Luyten partnership managed to become one of Belgium's best longer middle distance lofts after achieving numerous splendid results throughout the years. That high performance level can be ascribed to one sole family of birds: the crossing of Dirk Van Dyck's Kannibaal bloodlines with those of stock breeder Diamantje.

26/08/2013 - The Vanoppen-Luyten partnership has been working hard this season. It is hard to tell when a pigeon loft is in a good shape but is clear that the fanciers from Herk-de-Stad set the bar high. Exactly one week after their national win from Argenton II in the yearlings' category they can celebrate again. This time they took the win from Issoudon.

20/08/2013 - The Vanoppen-Luyten partnership has had a splendid season, with, for instance, a third national from Bourges I. Last weekend’s national winner Lady Argentina BE12-5157432 was the fastest yearling as she completed 553km with a velocity of 1307 m/min.

05/07/2012 - Weather conditions were excellent this weekend, resulting in a pretty smooth race course with velocities of about 1700 m/min. A few fanciers distinguished themselves from others in this weekend’s races.

27/06/2012 - Last weekend gave us many (inter)provincial races like Montluçon, Montrichard and Tours. Thanks to a strong southwest wind there were a lot of nice performances.

22/06/2012 - After spending another night in the basket, the pigeons for the national races from Montluçon and Cahors were finally released on Sunday. Both national races ran a smooth course, allowing the following lofts to outperform the rest of the participants:

17/09/2010 - The last grand middle distance race was a tough one for the most eastern Flemish province due to the set ENE-wind.
