29/11/2009 - Averbode is well known for its centuries old Premonstratensian monastery. Research gave me the following information. The foundation of this monastery dates back to 1134. So far this borough has 78 premonstratensians wherefrom 38 reside in the monastery, the rest live and work elsewhere at home and abroad.

16/11/2009 - The provinciebaan is the connecting road to Tienen and at the top of the hill there is a house with a garden. A small garden at the front and a large garden at the back. A new rustic house next to the in-laws and a joint back garden gives a pigeon fancier the possibility of building beautiful and practical lofts.
04/11/2009 - My former director and good friend Raf Luyckx managed to surprise everybody this year by winning the national title General Champion KBDB. In this national championship you have to prove that you have all-round pigeons.

31/08/2009 - The area around Erps-Kwerps, commonly known as the ‘chicory region’, is described in the history books as an administrative and economical centre on the ‘axis’ Keulen-Brugge-London. Today there are still 2 castles from that time.
