Every company or institution that has its own website and that is active on the internet will regularly check its statistics via Google Analytics and so do we at PIPA. We use it to analyse, to compare, to evaluate and to draw conclusions. Any progressive company makes use of this tool. We have taken a look at the statistics about the users of our website since the start of the new racing season 2012 (17 March) up to 11 June 2012 and we compared it to the statistics from the same period last year (March 19th till June 13th). We can say that the results were very positive:
We can conclude that the number of unique visitors has increased by 20% compared to last year, which is impressive to say the least. The overall number of visits to the PIPA website has gone up by 20% as well.
Another interesting fact is that we have a lot more users on weekdays compared to last season. In previous years we witnessed high peaks in the number of users on the weekends with them following the races live and taking a look at the latest results after the races. But with an increase in users on weekdays it seems that more and more people are reading our news articles and are following the news items that appear on our website regularly. As well as this increase, we have also noticed that users stay on our website for longer than last year (approximately 10%).
This is nothing but good news and it seems that you, the user, have confidence in our editorial team; so thank you for that. The PIPA team does everything it can to keep you up to date on all the developments and the news from our sport with accurate and objective news coverage on races, winners and champions.
