Result: a total return of no less than 1,25 million euro. The public auction that took place over the Dutch border in Thorn was organised by the world market leader in pigeon auctions via internet: pipa.be (PigeonParadise).

Not only a great turnout, but also numerous bids via telephone once again ensured top prices. It is also unique that such an excellent colony is sold in one sale.

The total of the colony consisted of 246 pigeons, which came under the auctioneer’s hammer and changed owner for a total amount of 1,25 million euro, or an average of 5.100 euro per pigeon.

The top pigeon in this auction answered to the name of ‘Eagle Eye’, which unusually remains on Belgian soil, and was bought by Marc De Cock (The CEO of Cock’s Meat products) in the East-Flemish Temse. The pigeon fancier had to pay 132.000 euro. The majority of the pigeons moved to the ‘far East’.
