Adrien and his sons
Their home base is in Zarlardinge, a part of the East Flemish town of Geraardsbergen. This partnership consists of Adrien and his two sons Bas and Tom and they have a pigeon breed that is based on a few great champions. First of all there is the bloodline of their provincial Ace Pigeon of 1992, which is regarded as their one and only stock sire. This cock has won nine first prizes and countless prizes per ten. Consequently his origins can be found in nearly every pigeon in this loft. They have also been using pigeons from William Secelle, Lucien De Norre & Son, Beulens & Son, Jerome Kellens, Luc Bouvijn, Verrect-Ariën, Van Hove-Utterhoeven etc. Their family comprises 20 breeding pairs and 36 widowers and they breed approximately 100 youngsters every season. They do not race pigeons that are older than four years. If a pigeon can manage to be successful for four years it has a good chance of being moved to their breeding loft.
Results of the young birds in 2012
This partnership has had a great season with the old birds and the yearlings but we would like to focus on the best youngster they have ever had. Martine 4132103/12 is an amazing bird; she is undoubtedly one of the best allround pigeons in Belgium. She managed to win the title of First Provincial Ace Pigeon Long Distance East Flanders. When the oldest son was about to move out with his girlfriend Adrien asked him to pick a name for the “very best pigeon” they had ever bred. “He did not hesitate: he gave it the name of his mother and my wife: Martine.”
