As its name suggests, the PIPA Elite Center, or PEC in short, is pretty much the cream of the crop in every aspect of top level pigeon racing. It has been ten years since founder Nikolaas Gyselbrecht made it his duty to try and bring the best pigeon racing bloodlines together in a super class breeding loft. Only the very best birds would be granted a spot in these state of the art breeding lofts in Knesselare, the home base of PIPA. And we have to admit that the results are quite amazing. The many references, both in their satellite lofts and in many other pigeon lofts across the globe, speak volumes.
It all began with New Freddy, who caused a shockwave in Belgium. The PEC promptly decided to obtain this magical racing bird. A lot has been said about New Freddy, but what made this pigeon so unique was the fact that he was raced by a hobby player, an amateur. This pigeon did not need any additional motivation, he was motivated enough as he was. He became Belgium's best pigeon in the longer middle distance, at a time when there was not yet a distinction between longer middle distance for yearlings and old birds.
Five years after New Freddy, his most famous great-grandson Porsche 911 saw the light of day. This amazing racing bird followed in the footsteps of his great-grandfather, winning a title of 5th National Ace Pigeon longer middle distance KBDB YLs 2015, before making a name for himself in the PEC breeding lofts.
The parents of Porsche 911 are Wacko Freddy (grandson New Freddy) x Lieve (daughter Gladiator - Bart Geerinckx). This breeding pair developed into the PIPA Elite Center's number one stock pair in no time.

This bloodline showed its enormous potential again this season, with for instance some fantastic results in in the last national long distance race from Tulle with direct descendants of this stock pair. And they claimed several national victories and national ace pigeon titles in 2020 as well.
National Ace Pigeons KBDB 2020
Like we said in the title, the PEC has played an important role in the national ace pigeon competitions KBDB. Based on the preliminary results, the 2nd, 5th, 8th and 10th National Ace Pigeon long distance & extreme long distance YLs, as well as the 9th National Ace Pigeon long distance old birds were all bred at the PEC and raced by the satellite lofts of Casaert-Senechal & Ariën - De Keyser (ADK). All five title winners have Wacko Freddy x Lieve as their grandparents.

An impressive performance from satellite loft Casaert-Sénéchal in Tulle
In Belgium, the PEC is racing pigeons from six different locations. And one of the pigeon lofts that is racing PEC birds exclusively is that of Casaert-Sénéchal. This loft had already surprised friends and foes in Belgium with a 2 x 1st National Ace Pigeon in just a few years' time. And they surprised Belgium again in 2020, claiming two national victories and three national ace pigeon titles! In addition, they had basketed 16 pigeons for this weekend's race from Tulle, and they did a tremendous job: 16 prizes with 16 basketed pigeons!

The first pigeon to arrive home from Tulle was once again New Amalia (BE17-4062393), bred from Gladiator Amalia (Gladiator x Amalia) paired to Believe. This is her palmares so far:

- 16th Nat. Vierzon - 20,956 pigeons
- 17th Nat. Tulle - 3,064 pigeons

Or a total of 4 national top 17 places and 6 national top 46 places!
Prince Porsche's breakthrough
And this is what we read on the facebook page of the PIPA Elite Center: Pascal Ariën: "Prince Porsche is the most wonderful brother of the 911 that we ever bred. I rarely get to see pigeons that are so special. That is why I decided to transfer him to the breeding loft after just one season of racing. I am confident he will find his place and become a super class breeder." Pascal Ariën said the same about Nestsister Boxster when she was one year old. She would become the dam of Golden Boxster later on. And interestingly enough, the first yearling of both the satellite loft of Ariën-De Keyser (ADK) and team Casaert-Sénéchal last weekend were youngsters of this Prince Porsche. ADK claimed a 3rd national yearlings and 4th fastest of 7,500 pigeons, while Casaert-Sénéchal took a 49th national! And this is just the first season in which yearlings of Prince Porsche are being put to the test. This looks very promising for the future!
Striving for progress
It goes without saying that a pigeon loft always has to strive for progress. This pigeon family already has some top quality bloodlines on board, including a fantastic stock pair. But even the PEC is always trying to improve, even though that sounds like quite a challenge. They introduce new bloodlines on a regular basis, to try and aim for perfection. for instance, the PEC will be using 9 youngsters of New Kim and 9 youngsters of Maria in the upcoming breeding season. These are both iconic Gaston Van de Wouwer birds. And several youngsters of Nadine, the renowned ace pigeon of Willy Daniëls, will be moving to the breeding lofts as well, besides youngsters of another legend: Golden Prince of Gino Clicque.
Closing words
This could be just the beginning of a new era, an unprecedented level of dominance from one single pigeon family. And this is still a very young family, since the parents of Porsche are just seven years old. All the youngsters of this renowned pair have proven to be successful racing or breeding birds. They have excelled all around the world, in one loft races as well as in Belgium and in many other countries. This is a very complete breeding pair, a breeding pair with golden eggs so to speak!
