André and Bert Leideman, the leading names in Province North East Holland in 2017
Laon was one of the big higlights of the season.
André and Bert Leideman can look back on an outstanding 2017 season, with a list of achievements that is hard to put into words. The name of the two brothers André & Bart became a household name on the teletext pages. The Leideman pigeons are able to excel in every competition, as you can tell from their victories in the sprint teletext race from Duffel, the middle distance teletext race from Laon, and the one day long distance race NPO from Gien. The highlight of the young birds' season came in the closing race from Vervins, where the team claimed a 1-3-4-5 of 8753 pigeons. It was the last great result in a truly terrific season; their best results can be found here:

The stars of the show
This was the kind of season where everything seemed to work out for the Leideman brothers, and some of their favourite birds have really stepped up. The number one eye-catcher in Hardenberg is racing bird Goed Grijs BE15-6106415, which concluded her short but strong racing career with a victory in the middle distance teletext race from Laon of 6371 p. It was already her third victory of 2017, adding to a total of seven first prizes over the course of her career.

Jet's keen eye gives us a hint of her enormous potential
Young Grijs puts the icing in the cake
2017 has been an exceptional season for the young birds as well: they did spectacularly well in the closing young birds' race from Vervins. The junior team, led by Young Grijs NL17-1647574, claimed a 1-3-4-5 ff 8753 pigeons. What was particularly remarkble was the fact that the dam of Young Grijs, BE15-6106975, has a title of 10th National Ace Pigeon NPO Sprint to her name. With confidence towards 2018
It was a season in which everything went perfectly, and today we are on the eve of a new racing season. Many fanciers are hoping to improve on last year's results but we reckon André and Bert would be more than happy to more or less match their achievements of 2017. They have a new team of yearlings that have already shown their potential last season, and we are confident that one or two of these one year olds will develop into great champions one day. If you would still like to know more about the Leideman brothers, feel free to read the report that we published after their strong start of 2017, with a closer look at about some of their stock breeders.
