Auction of all pigeons (except years 2012 and 2013)
One of the strongest pigeon families in the history of pigeon racing in Belgium is that of Etienne Devos. Etienne won his first KBDB championship title in 1979 and he has not missed the podium since then. He is winner of five national titles, a world championship title, four national victories and several national ace pigeons. In 2012 he added the title of First National Ace Pigeon Grand Middle Distance KBDB (with ‘Witpen Rivaldo’), the title of second General Belgian Championship KBDB and twelve first prizes to his impressive list of achievements. In 2013 Etienne is again one of the biggest candidates for the title of General Champion KBDB. In addition, descendants of the Devos pigeon breed have won a first int. Perpignan for Nicolas Bascourt and a first Nat. Tulle for Ivan Vanvuchelen. Etienne will be auctioning all of his racing and breeding pigeons in an impressive auction. These pigeons are related to the golden bloodline of ‘Kleine Didi’ (breeder of international top class pigeons), as well as the excellent bloodlines of Zidane (First Nat. Carcasonne) and Rivaldo. Fanciers from all over the world will be looking forward to this spectacular auction, exclusively on PIPA.
All the raced young birds 2013 + some topbreeders
Roby Wilms and Luc Vermeerbergen have been in a successful Belgian combination for several years now and they have been winning top prizes right from the start, mainly with their young birds. This team of young birds was auctioned on PIPA in 2012 and it was an overwhelming success. A similar auction will be organised in 2013 and we think this will be another top class auction, as the young birds of Vermeerbergen-Wilms have had a remarkably successful season again. In addition to their young birds we also have some of their best breeders in this auction, including stock cock Lucky Luc and the renowned Van De Wouwer breeding pair. These pigeons will be an invaluable addition in anyone’s breeding loft.
Collection of yb & old birds, mainly Gaby Vandenabeele strain
The descendants of the Gaby Vandenabeele pigeon breed have had a substantial impact on pigeon racing today. They are very tough to beat especially in the shorter and grand middle distance competition in Belgium. National champions have been having excellent results thanks to these Vandenabeele descendants. This pigeon breed did really well in Belgium this season, with for instance a first Nat. Bourges I yearlings (Dirk Moens), a first Nat. Agen Bordeaux old birds (Bert Van den Berghe), a first Nat. Agen Bordeaux yearlings and first Nat. Brive (Joel Verschoot), a first Nat. La Souterraine yearlings and first Nat. Brive (J. Verschure), a first Nat. Bourges II yearlings (Tony Lievens), a first Nat. Tulle (Ivan Vanvuchelen) and a first Nat. Argenton (Matthias Coel). These were only a few of the national and provincial top performances this season! PIPA contacted some of these successful Vandenabeele-based lofts and asked them to offer a few of their best pigeons in this remarkable themed auction. All young birds 2013 with DNA certificate.
