The three PEC lofts of Ariën-De Keyser (Houwaart), Casaert-Senechal (Russeignies) and Karlo Van Rompaey (Sint-Truiden) ensured - excluding the national winner - that there were 15 other pigeons bred by PEC in the national Top 100, either in the old birds or in the yearlings race. Proof of the versatility of the PEC breed. As on Souillac, speed and stamina were both necessary. Pigeons that want to compete for the top spots must excel in both these characteristics. The physical class and the character to push through has to be there. As shown in the past and again on Souillac, this is something the PEC pigeons excel in.
Top performers amongst the old birds
We start off with the results of the old birds race. We find 6 PEC racers in the national Top 100, good for 2nd-th-6th-15th-66th-73rd National against 4,476 old birds.
As the runner-up, winning 2nd National, we find Ariën- De Keyser with the cock BE20-4157446. This crack has a beautiful pedigree. Amongst his grandparents are some famous PIPA Elite Center breeders. The 20-446 is a grandson of New Laureaat, Wacko Freddy and Lieve.
The 446-20 is currently ranked 14th in the PIPA Ranking Best Belgian Long Distance Old bird (5 prizes).
The 4th National on the old birds race was won by Casaert-Senechal with their cock BE20-4157710. This cock is a wonderful cross between various top lofts. The father is Brother Charlie BE18-4201246. He is a full brother to Charlie of Tom Van Gaver, who won the PIPA Ranking Long Distance Yearlings (5 prizes) in 2018. Parents are Wittekop Chipo and Mother Charlie.
Mother is Daughter Contador x Anne BE18-4238122, this hen descends from co-breeding with Joël Verschoot and the PEC. Both Contador and Anne ranked amongst the national ace pigeons thanks to their sensational results. Contador for instance became 10th Nat. Ace Pigeon Long Distance Old birds 2018 whilst Anne became 7th Nat. Ace Pigeon Heavy Middle Distance Yearlings 2018.
The 6th National was also won by Casaert-Senechal. This with the cock BE20-4157407. He is a son of Brother Porsche 849/19, a brother of Porsche 911, Boxter,... and thereby a grandson of the super pair Wacko Freddy x Lieve (daughter Gladiator Bart Geerinckx).
Mother is Sister Louise BE18-4194788, a fantastic breeding hen from Dali and Magic 700 and thus a sister of Louise, 1st Nat. Bourges 19,735 p.
On 15th place in the national result we also find Casaert-Senechal. This time with the hen BE20-4157702. She was born from co-breeding with Bart Geerinckx. The father is BE18-6018892, son of top racer and breeder Blue Lagoon (BE10-6143302). Blue Lagoon is amongst others father of Little Star, 1st Nat. Ace Pigeon Heavy Middle Distance 2015. Paired to this Geerinckx cock was the hen Daughter New Kim 584/19 from the PEC. As you can guess, bred from co-breeding with Gaston Van De Wouwer. More specifically from the pair Porsche 911 x New Kim namely the 5th Nat. Ace Pigeon Heavy Middle Distance Yearling 2015 paired to 1st Nat. Ace Pigeon Heavy Middle Distance Young birds 2018...need we say more?
The last 2 old birds in the National Top 100 with PEC blood are found on places 66 and 73. Both won by Ariën-De Keyser.
BE20-4157553 is the winner of 66th Nat. Souillac 4,476 p. He is a full brother of the pigeon introduced above, who won 6th National Souillac at Casaert. This pair has delivered both the 6th National and 66th National Old birds on Souillac!
Moreover, the 553-20 is ranked at an impressive 2nd place in the PIPA Ranking Best Belgian Long Distance Old bird (5 prizes) and a 6th place in the preliminary ranking National Ace Pigeon Long Distance Old birds KBDB 2022.
Brother Remco 765, BE20-4157765, wins 73rd Nat. Souillac 4,476 p. Again, the father is a brother of Porsche 911, Boxster,... this time Taycan (BE17-4062222). Mother is Ace 169 (BE16-4129169): 2nd Beste Yearling Long Distance across 3 races in the 2017 PIPA Ranking and 13th Nat. Ace Pigeon Long Distance KBDB that same year.

Yearlings
On the yearlings race we find the first PEC pigeon on the 11th place in the national result. Pascal Ariën clocked the hen BE21-4152089 at 17:58:05 after having flown 717 kilometers. This hen also has a breathtaking pedigree. Father is Dynamite Kim (BE19-4185360), son of two 1st Nat. Ace Pigeons, namely Golden Prince and New Kim.
Mother is Spyder 006 (BE16-4129006), another sister to Porsche 911, Boxster, Panamera,... a chidl of Wacko Freddy and Lieve!
The hen 089-20 has had a good season and she is currently ranked 40th in the preliminary ranking National Ace Pigeon Long Distance Yearlings.
On the 17th place we find a pigeon with the Dutch ringband number NL21-1177926 of Casaert-Senechal. This ringband number may already give away that this pigeon is from PEC/Batenburg van De Merwe and a grandchild of the world-famous New Laureaat, 1st Internat. Barcelona in 2013. Also on father's side we find an international winner as grandfather, namely the FR16-218100, 1st Internat. Agen Old birds in 2019.
Just below, ranking 18th National, we find a yearling of Ariën-De Keyser, BE21-4152712. This too, is a grandchild of New Laureaat. Father is Son New Laureaat (NL17-1261855) of Batenburg van de Merwe. 29th Nat. Souillac 4,637 on the yearlings race was won by BE21-4152714 of Ariën-De Keyser. This is a full brother of the pigeon with the Dutch ringband that won 17th Nat. Souillac at Hugo Casaert. A breeding pair with a lot of potential!
Currently the 714-21 is ranked 12th in the preliminary ranking National Ace Pigeon Long Distance Yearlings.
The 35th National on the yearlings race was for the cock 968-21, a cross between the super line Hattrick x Prima Dora of Karlo Van Rompaey and a half sister of Porsche 911 of the PEC bred from Wacko Freddy x New Patricia. The BE21-4152968 is raced by Ariën-De Keyser.
The hen with ringband number BE21-4152433 wins the 46th National for Casaert-Senechal. Again, this is a grandchild of New Laureaat. Mother is Daughter New Laureaat 848, bred from New Laureaat and a daughter of Sumerian Fighter, 1st Internat. Barcelona at Léon Rocks.
Father is Grandson Kleine Gerard 854, an excellent breeding cock that was born from co-breeding between J. & F. Hendriks and the PEC. More specifically Asduif Gerard x Carrera 522 (sister Porsche & Boxster).
