In particular the game with the hens in widowhood is Asere’s thing, and he is certainly a ‘specialist’… he doesn’t race with old hens. Because nowadays the ‘hens’ hold the power in the provincial ‘grand middle distance’, even at national level in the ‘short long distanc
e’ the ‘hens’ are in charge ,and this has already been proved repeatedly in 2009. Sport friend Astere’s ‘hens’ played a large part in this! In the very first provincial classic of 2009 he directly won the 1° prize provincial Blois against 1.944 pigeons. Last weekend he repeated this ‘stunt’ from Vierzon, by not only winning 1° + 2° provincial against 1.049 old birds… but also 8 of his 12 basketted pigeons classified before the 19° provincial prize! Superior pigeon game! The youngsters also intervened with 3 pigeons in the ‘top 20’ at provincial level! Take a look with us at the results of last weekend from Vierzon:

The 2009 sport season was a chain of top performances in Aalter, whereby without doubt Astere is having one of the best seasons of his pigeon sport career. Because, apart from the 2 x 1° Provincial victories… the performance curve showed a very large constant, with several peaks … let’s take a closer look:

For the provincial championships KBDB East-Flanders Astere also had a hen with a coefficient of 2,9% in the top of the classifications in the middle distance! With his victories this weekend the counter has already registered 15 x 1° prizes this sport season! Talk about a top year… and there is a good chance that this will be even more over the next 5 weeks (in the middle distance)!
