Willy Daniëls (Kessel, BE) claims title of 1st National Ace Pigeon Longer Middle Distance Yearlings KBDB two years in a row

Willy Daniëls achieved a unique feat, winning the title of 1st National Ace Pigeon Longer Middle Distance YLs KBDB both in 2016 and 2017, with two full sisters. He won the 2016 title with racing hen Sara, and it was her full sister Nadine that claimed the team's second consecutive ace pigeon title in 2017.

Willy Daniëls and his wife

Every season again Willy Daniëls comes into prominence with some impressive results at national level. As most of you know, all this is done with a small racing team of just racing hens. We take a look at some of his national and provincial first prizes over the years:

1st Nat. Chateauroux 2015 18,604 olds

Besides winning two national ace pigeon titles with two sisters, he scored high prize percentages with his other racing hens as well; we take a look at his best results last season:

These were his most prominent results of 2017. We will now take a closer look at the two eye-catchers of his racing team over the past two seasons: Sara and Nadine.

She was 1st National Ace Pigeon Longer Middle Distance Yearlings, and she also won the title of 1st Best Yearling in the Belgian national races (5 prizes) based on the following achievements:

The pedigrees of the two sisters Sara and Nadine feature two remarkable bloodlines from their father's side. The grandfather is in fact a double inbred to breeding hen BE04-6313346 De Witneus. She is the dam of the 1st Ace Pigeon Fondclub Antwerpen 2009. The great-grandfather from their grandmother's side is De Limo, winner of a 4th Limoges of 16,546 p. and a 74th Bourges of 21,940 p.
The dam of Sara originates from top pair BE07-6044289 son Zot (De Meyer) x BE09-6217201 grandchild Broer Lichte Bourges (Voets) from her grandmother's side. De Zot won 14 first prizes, and Broer Lichte Bourges is a stock breeder in Willy's breeding loft. Broer Lichte Bourges can also be found in the pedigrees of several of Willy's national top prize winners. Click here for a closer look at Nadine's origins; for her sister Sara's pedigree, click here.

The big star in the Belgian longer middle distance with a small basket

A small team but nothing but super class pigeons. This is arguably one of Belgium's most talented longer middle distance breeds. Willy has been getting great results with a small number of pigeons time and time again. He claimed three national first prizes from Châteauroux in a single season, as well as a title of 1st National Champion Longer Middle Distance Yearlings 2016 and 1st National Ace Pigeon Longer Middle Distance YLs 2016 (with Sara), and on top of that a title of 1st National Ace Pigeon Longer Middle Distance Yearlings 2017 with full sister Nadine.
