He had had to settle for second place national in Bourges in 2013, and he finished in second place in the Nat. Championship Extreme Long Distance KBDB in 2016. But this time Martin got what he deserved, claiming a national first prize from Pau in 2019.

Stef Bals demonstrates his potential yet again, winning a 1-2-3 Quievrain of 2,510 pigeons, and taking 15 prizes with 17 pigeons. Over the past two years, this promising young fancier (25 years old) has shown repeatedly to be one of the leading names at national level.

(28/06/2019) Team Thoné (As, BE): Highly successful weekend with 1st National Argenton Zone and 8 first prizes concludes a brilliant early season

The weekend of 22nd of June was an absolute success for Team Thoné: a 1st National Argenton Zone C, an 8th Prov. Montauban and a 14th National Pau Zone C. They win an additional 8 first prizes in Mettet and Soissons, adding to an impressive 2019 palmares: 28 first prizes over 100 to 840km.

Another well known name from the international pigeon scene that just added its name to the list of national winners from the opening classic of the international calendar, Pau. Michel Dubois won 1th national Pau in France.

A stunning result last week in one of the biggest races in Czech Republic by PIPA-agent Lubomir Kubacek. He basketed 79 pigeons on this 348 km long race and won 56 prizes against 25.235 birds starting with 1 & 2!

(25/06/2019) A tremendous result for Jespers-Vanderwegen (Holsbeek, BE) in Blois: 1-2-3-... Provincial

This was perhaps a result that was bound to come, because the pigeons of the Jespers-Vanderwegen combination from Holsbeek had been in great form for a number of weeks now. They claimed quite a few top results over the past several weeks, and this provincial victory was almost inevitable. The race from Blois was in fact a major success across the board.

(21/06/2019) Karlo Van Rompaey (St.-Truiden, BE): a fantastic weekend leads to a provincial win from Gien

Karlo Van Rompaey from Sint-Truiden in Limburg takes home a provincial first prize from Gien (8,772 pigeons). The winning hen (BE17-5013765) is a half sister of Prima Dora, with which Karlo won a 1st Nat. Bourges of 18,864 pigeons in 2015. The superstar Prima Dora (BE13-5008346) is now the dam and grandmother of several top prize winners.

Cahors is already the third national victory for the Vandenheede Brothers in 2019. On top of that, they win their sixth provincial victory of the season that weekend (15th-16th of June): a double provincial win from Argenton with the old birds and the yearlings.

(20/06/2019) Leideman Brothers (Hardenberg, NL) show their class in Venlo, winning a 1st, 2nd, 4th, 8th and 9th of as many as 4,429 pigeons

They had an impressive five pigeons in the top ten in Venlo on 9th of June, which says something about the Leideman Brothers. Places 1 and 4 were won with two direct youngsters of the phenomenal Goed Grijs. She is showing not only to be an excellent racing hen but a fabulous breeder as well.

Yesterday Davy Tournelle made a great result from the interprovincial race Blois, 461km. Special Lady was the fastest pigeon of 4,666 pigeons. She is a double granddaughter to his superbreeder Torres.

Aged of 84 years, Michel Dauchez just decided to call it quits. In France, he is considered as one of the best sprint and middle distance racers from the history of our sport thanks to a career of 40 years. His success, he owes it thanks to an exceptionnal strain built around the pigeons of the Janssen brothers from Arendonk.

The pigeon to hold first place in the PIPA ranking over the first three national races of 2019 is none other than Blauwe Witoog BE17-6053446. In addition, the team's first and second nominated were the first pigeons to be clocked both in Bourges and Chateauroux. A touch of class!
