Pigeon "Bonte Crack" from Anthony Maes wins the title of 1st national ace pigeon KBDB. For the umpteenth time, there is a true super pigeon in the lofts of Anthony in Waregem.

(28/09/2018) Anthony Maes (Waregem, BE) crushes the competition after Newcastle Disease outbreak

Quite a number of fanciers from around the city of Waregem were sidelined for four weeks, due to the protection zone that was installed following a Newcastle Disease outbreak. As soon as the ban was lifted, some teams were really eager to start racing again, including the team of Antony Maes.

Anthony Maes now has four provincial first prizes to his name this season. His racing hen Cartouche claimed a double win from Tours in the yearlings' and old birds' race, and another two provincial first prizes were won in July: De Schicht wins a 1st Prov. Chateauroux and Sir Gaby takes a 1st Prov. Argenton II.

Anthony achieved great results in 2015 with a 1st and 3rd Provincial Ace Pigeon KBDB Longer Middle Distance Old Birds, and his 2016 season was equally successful; his most important result this season was without doubt a 1st National Argenton, won by the outstanding Sero Sero.

Anthony Maes can be considered a household name in the Belgian province of West Flanciers: Anthony and his wife Chantal have won several provincial first prizes over the past seasons, and they have now added a 1st and 3rd Provincial Ace Pigeon title KBDB longer middle distance old birds and an 8th National Ace Pigeon title KBDB longer middle distance young birds to their palmares this season.
