A top season in 2023
It is a phenomenal season for the champion from the East Flemish Olsene. The 2023 racing season will go into the history books as one of his best. Certainly because of the many 1st Prizes won in a single season. This season Philippe has won 1st Prizes like never before....which were also good for beautiful results on the highest levels. What about his top result from Orleans on July 22nd - when he won the first 8 prizes Provincially against 9,231 Young birds - a feat you can read all about here at PIPA.
Now also 1st and 2nd Interprov. Chateaudun against 2,889 Young birds
It didn't take long before the next top result worth writing about was in the making. During the weekend of 26th August the young bird team of Philippe took a double victory, with 1st and 2nd Interprovincial Chateaudun (352km)...clocking his 1st and 2nd Nominated! It doesn't get much better than that. The result in numbers:
26/08 Chateaudun Interprov. 2,889 Young birds:
1-2-133-178-228-264-265-280-425-552-553-679-680-859-928 (15/21)
Something worth mentioning, making this double provincial victory extra special, is that both winners are bred from the same breeding pair. One could even argue that it is the second provincial victory for both pigeons, as they were only beat by loft mates on Orleans (when Philippe won the first 8 prizes on a provincial level).
The pigeon winning 1st Provincial is a true new crack, it is the fourth time that this pigeon wins a Provincial Top 100 prize.

Has Philippe Dobbelaere discovered a new super pair? It could well be. What is certain...is that the bloodline of his 1st Nat. Ace Pigeon KBDB in 2021 - Super Jan - is golden. This Super Jan immediately became father and grandfather of new generations of 1st Prize winners up to a (inter)provincial level. Fantastic racers with an unstoppable will to win...this will not be the last time you heard about these pigeons.
