
With a central location in Holland just below Utrecht, many fanciers have also found their way. Often they make a combination to plan visits in Belgium which is only an hour away.
It is now important to make the final preparations in, on and around the loft, because in a few weeks the old pigeons will be trained again. Many fanciers use this time to make a decision about feeding schedules, the use of by-products during the season and numerous other things. Where better to do that than with your friends during the Spring Exchange in Holland? After all, all major products of pigeon racing can be found under one roof, and you will receive information from the specialists themselves! With exhibitors from more than 20 countries (!!!) showing the latest developments in pigeon racing, a visit to Houten is definitely worthwhile. For example, the many One Loft Races which are starting to play an increasingly important role within our sport. Also from abroad new products such as pharmaceutical companies from Spain and Poland, both looking for resellers of their products. But also vist small newcomers such as De Cubber with its automatic feeders or Avirings Derby-Slovenia that markets rings to follow pigeons. Too many to mention!
As a visitor you will certainly also walk past the very best pigeons of the Netherlands who are exhibited on their own in special prepared pen’s with their performances. In collaboration with the owners of Compuclub, a Wall of Fame has been created in a beautiful atmosphere. This is an opportunity not to be missed to get in touch with the fanciers of those pigeons who meet the very fearce requirements for participation in the Olympiad!
Top of the bill are of course the hundreds of youngsters that are for sale on the many small stands in hall 4. From sprint to marathon pigeons, with parents and pedigrees of chic origin or with only the ringcard deed. You can find it all in Expo Houten. Also in hall 4 a dozen stands with fancy pigeons, this is also a group not to miss during the exhibition where even from time to time a show is done with roller pigeons and where Spanish croppers fly through the hall!
An interesting page has been created on Facebook with numerous items about the exhibition. Just now, participants are posting their news items and this page comes to life. Definitely recommended to visit the facebook page: Voorjaarsbeurs Houten. There, the exhibitors will post a lot of news about their participation in the coming week. Also photos of the youngsters they have bred or discounts and promotions from the businesses and much more actual hot news!
