Fabulous weekend of racing for Gino Clicque (Wevelgem, BE)

Gino Clicque could not have hoped for a better weekend, with his provincial victory from Argenton (of 4,299 yearlings / the fastest of 7,258 birds). The fantastic results for Ronny Menten, who runs a satellite loft of Gino Clicque, turned this into an even more memorable weekend.

1st Provincial Argenton - 4,299 yearlings / fastest of 7,258 pigeons

It was racing bird BE19-3089070, better known as Argenton Prince, that claimed a 1st Provincial Argenton with a velocity of almost 1,207 m/min. This made him the fastest of all 7,258 West Flemish birds.

And the team was quite successful overall, with several early finishes against 4,299 yearlings: 1.-10.-18-.18.-26.-28.-31.-34.-35.-38.-41.-52.-53.-57.-73.-81.-83.-83.-85.-90.-95.-... (115/181).

And here are the results against 2,959 old birds: 5.-9.-18.-22.-74.-90.-97.-... (44/60)

The provincial winner was renamed Argenton Prince. His sire is a son of two national ace pigeons, namely Mr. Fantastic (1st Nat. Ace Pigeon long distance KBDB 2017 & winner of a 9th-11th-42nd National) x Golden Princess (1st Nat. Ace Pigeon Long Distance yearlings KBDB 2017 & winner of a 6th-32nd National). Golden Princess is a granddaughter of the now world famous Golden Prince.

The dam of the provincial winner is Sonia (6th Nat. Ace Pigeon middle distance KBDB).

Impressive reference for Ronny Menten (Rummen, BE)

As we already know, a large number of young birds from Wevelgem are transferred to the lofts of Ronny Menten in Rummen every season. Of course, Gino was very proud of Ronny's excellent results both in Argenton and Valence. He was particularly happy with the prizes in bold, since these were won with direct Clicque birds.

Argenton Nat. - 26,085 yearlings: 3.-5.-12.-15.-29.-49.-60.-106.-122.-153.-158.-...

Argenton Nat. - 16,762 old birds: 3.-4.-10.-13.-46.-126.-...

Valence Nat. - 7,591 old birds: 39.-49.-85.-95.-115.-186.-...

So he had four pigeons in the national top ten and nine pigeons in the national top 100. This is a remarkable reference indeed!

Gino Clicque is always in for a spectacular result, whether it be in his own loft or in the form of an impressive reference for a fellow champion. Last weekend Gino not only achieved a great result in Argenton, Ronny Menten also delivered what is potentially one of the best performances of the year, mainly thanks to the Clicque pigeon breed. As many as four pigeons related directly to the Gino Clicque bloodlines finished in the national top 10 that day, and nine birds claimed a spot in the national top 100. It shows once again that the Prince dynasty from Wevelgem is one of those breeds that delivers pretty much on a weekly basis.
