The Gevaert-Lannoo combination was able to add another important victory to their list of achievements rather quickly. They had basketed ten pigeons for the national race from Chateauroux on 4th of July, with six old birds and four yearlings. All ten racing birds claimed a top prize at club level, and more importantly, they took a first place both at club level and in the zone. Here are the results in more detail:

The family had been going through a rough patch in recent weeks but that did not seem to have any impact on their pigeons. These are very promising results indeed, especially with so many classics coming up in quick succession in the next several weeks.

The Gevaert-Lannoo pigeon breed is mainly crafted around pigeons of grandmaster Gaby Vandenabeele from Dentergem. Their racing team reached a whole new level the moment Paul and Carlos started to obtain pigeons from Dentergem. And their zonal winner in Chateauroux happens to be an 80% Vandenabeele bird as well. This two year old cock is a peculiar bird: this is already the fourth victory in his young career.

The dam of Crown Princess is the successful racing hen Princess 95 BE15-146095, a 1st Prov. Ace Pigeon middle distance KBDB 2016 olds & YLs, and winner of a 1st Prov.
