Roland & Guy Nihoul (Senzeilles, BE) stronger than ever in the long distance races!

The Nihoul loft, triple long distance national champions of Belgium, again proved they were incredibly proficient at the highest level of the national long distance races.

Roland & Guy happy to look back on their season in 2015.

It is one of the most titled lofts of Belgium and 2015 was no exception with several satisfactions for this father and son partnership. Firstly because of their continuous presence from the first until the last national races of the season. Secondly because of the confirmation of the talent of their young racing team while the Nihoul father and son won their best results mostly with pigeons aged more than 3 years, being even well recognized for that. Third point concerns the new reinforcements that already gave great satisfaction. Even if the word 'reinforcement' has to be requalified because when we use 'reinforcement', we are talking about the old glories of the racing loft who received a place in the breeding loft after a strong racing career. Of course, the success of the Nihoul is built around this philosophy: their best pigeons are never sold. A philosophy we already talked about in our previous reports about this loft, but we thought it was a good thing to underline it again.

A good season 2015

The success of the long distance loft can be sized with the national top 100s won during a whole season. But those who cannot get enough with these top 100 will try to struggle for the national victory at any price. Sometimes, it is up to anything and the pigeons who will end into the national top 10 are ending only a few seconds from the final victory. With their small amount of pigeons basketted for each race of the national calendar and with almost only unfavourable wind during the whole season, Roland & Guy can be satisfied with their season in 2015. With no less than 10 different national top 100 and 3 x top 6 national, the balance is really good, moreover when you know that the maximum amount of pigeons basketed on a race was 10 and that only happened at once. The prize percentage is even better: 36 prizes from 54 basketed which gives a total of 66%. This is simply why they are feared: going to the basketing table with only a handful of pigeons, all able to struggle for the national victory! Here is a small overview of their best results:

3rd Narbonne national 3,366 p. (36th international 8,447 p.)
6th Brive national 9,049 p.
6th Montélimar national 1512 p.
20th Libourne national 2,951 p.
35th Montauban national 2,124 p.
47th Cahors national 6,576 p.

78th Libourne national 2,951 p.

We will publish another report about their best pigeons during the winter, when the championships will reveal their truth. Roland, Guy, well done and congratulations!
