He is arguably one of the most proficient extreme long distance fanciers, and he surprised us with two provincial first prizes in a single week. His most recent achievements can be attributed to his golden Yelena dynasty, combined with the Marseille bloodlines. One of the strongest pigeon lofts in South Holland is that of Jan Eskes from Streefkerk. Jan has been winning an impressive number of top results almost on a weekly basis, and he has been particularly successful in the young birds' competition. His results can be attributed to an impressive collection of direct Heremans pigeons, which includes a 1st National Ace Pigeon YBs NPO 2016 (he won this title for the third time in five years). The offspring of superbreeder Freddy, has been a great impact on pigeon racing. The sire bred from Vandenheede’s wonder pairing: ‘ Antigoon’ x ‘Krijt’, became the breeding star on the famous De Rauw-Sablon breeding lofts and later on, many children of Freddy, returned to Vandenheede, were the base was made for many top pigeons. Karlo Van Rompaey came into prominence in 2015, winning a national first prize from Bourges against 18,864 old birds with Prima Dora. He then went on to claim a second national victory of 14,449 yearlings with racing bird Hattrick, also from Bourges. Karlo is now one of those fanciers that has become particularly hard to beat. His results are quite spectacular indeed. Karlo does not mind having four, five or even nine pigeons in the top-ten. He has come up with an impressive group of pigeons from his best breeders, and they will be sold in a top class PIPA auction.
Hans Besseling has an eye for talent, and his search for top class pigeons brought him to the loft of Jan Hooymans. He obtained a wonderful son of none other than superstar Harry, and it was partly thanks to this investment that Hans Dekkers won a 2nd National Melun.
Not too many fanciers have managed to win races and dominate competitions on a weekly basis with a small group of racing birds. The achievements of Eddy and his son Maarten, which includes 6 national victories, are nothing short of impressive. This is a success story many other fanciers can only dream of.

He made a fresh start with a group of yearlings and youngsters, and the 'Comeback Kid' lived up to his name with some great results. He managed to add numerous first prizes to the already impressive palmares of team Thoné, including most notably a 1st Nat. Tulle old birds.
