(26/07/2018) Alain & Jean-Marc Caro (Lambermont, BE) just booked their second national victory from 2018 on St-Vincent

After their victory on Limoges I, almost no insiders would have expected the Caro brothers to book another national race, moreover on St-Vincent. Indeed, the wind was blowing in the east direction and the first arrivals confirmed that the west part of Belgium would take the victory.

(26/07/2018) SG Zoller, Henriette, Alena und Torsten (Zweibrücken): 1. national Agen Deutschland 2018

Die Tauben wurden am 29. Juni 2018 um 8 Uhr in Agen aufgelassen. Insgesamt kamen 24.850 Tauben an den Start, darunter waren auch 1.355 deutsche Tauben. Der Wind wehte aus nordöstlicher Richtung, sodass die Franzosen ziemlich begünstigt waren.

Het is niet alledaags dat een jeugdige dame vliegles geeft in de duivensport. Het overkwam de liefhebbers in afdeling 10 waar Wendela Wiersema op Quiévrain iedereen het nakijken gaf en bovendien een 20 uit 20 liet optekenen.

Ein Flugwochenende, das viele Züchter wohl nicht so schnell vergessen werden. Es gab gute, mäßige und sehr schlechte Flüge. Wobei die schlechten Flüge wahrscheinlich zum großen Teil von den Flugleitern zu verantworten waren, weil die vorhergesagten Regengebiete und die damit verbundenen atmosphärischen Störungen nicht berücksichtigt wurden. Does Rik Cools still need an introduction? This top class fancier has a proven reputation and many other fanciers have had great results with the Cools pigeon breed as well. We saw in the interprovincial race from Chateauroux that his brand new lofts are still home to plenty of highly talented birds.

The one year old Fellaini of the Van Wanrooij combination had already won an 8th NPO of 3,584 pigeons from Argenton earlier on, and he continues to show his great potential in the one day long distance, now claiming a 1st NPO of 2,468 pigeons.

(24/07/2018) Cor de Heijde (Made, NL) takes the win in Agen (Sector 1) of 6,379 pigeons with a descendant of the legendary Klamper

Grandmaster Cor de Heijde had already won a 1st National from perpignan back in 1997, and he now shows his class a second time with a 1st prize from Agen (Sector 2) of 6,379 pigeons.

(23/07/2018) Roger & Jurgen Vervaeke (Deerlijk, BE) pakken 1e Nat. Châteauroux en voorlopig 1e Nat. Asduif

Werkendag, dat was het voor de duiven die op zaterdag 9 juni vanuit Châteauroux naar huis vlogen. Met wind pal op de neus was het bij de jaarlingen sterke beer Emiel die zijn baasjes Roger en Jurgen Vervaeke op de nationale kaart zette. En dat terwijl hij twee weken eerder nog afgeschreven leek.

Team Meirlaen was close to winning another national first prize, now with a son of Monar. This son had already won a 75th Nat. Pau earlier this season, and he now claims a provincial first prize, while finishing in 2nd place national.

Dirk Van Dyck needs no introduction. The pigeon fancier from Zandhoven became world famous in the 1990s thanks to the one and only Kannibaal. And breeding birds Rambo and Den Bourges have become well known names as well.

(19/07/2018) Joost De Smeyter-Restiaen (Melden, BE) takes revenge with a 1st Int. Barcelona hens and 5 x top 25 national

Without even knowing, Joost basketed a group of infected pigeons for the 2017 race from Barcelona. This, combined with the demanding and unpredictable weather, caused him to lose quite a few experienced racing birds that day. He was out for revenge: he claimed a 1st Int. Barcelona Hens (2nd Int.) and 5 national top 25 prizes, with the help of top breeder Joost.

Stef Bals is a young and highly talented pigeon fancier who surprised his colleagues repeatedly in the past. The race from Sens is the first major highlight in his pigeon racing career: he wins the first four prizes in Province Brabant 2000.

The past few weeks have all been about the Red Devils playing a great World Cup in Russia, with such players as Hazard, De Bruyne, Lukaku and Courtois being among the world's most renowned players. And pigeon racing has its international stars as well, one of them would be "The Barcelona" of Erik Limbourg.
