An excellent foundation

NL08-1158499 Marchino, Best Cock WHZB 2011

The many achievements of Co and Piet Verbree are the result of some very unique breeding birds, the most renowned of which is NL03-1287765 Limo. This outstanding breeder came into prominence when his son NL08-1158499 Marchino and his daughter NL10-1326498 Anita became best cock and best hen in the national WHZB competition. It goes without saying that Marchino has in turn become a highly valued breeder as well. Click here for the pedigree of Marchino.

Follow-up

NL14-1651344 Platino, 2nd National Ace Pigeon WHZB 2016

The Verbree combination excels not only with a well disciplined racing team. The team has been working hard to come up with a solid collection of breeders as well. They were able to raise the bar even further by adding NL14-1651344 Platino (2nd National Ace Pigeon WHZB 2016) to the team recently.

Successful in other lofts

In their search for good results, many other fanciers have obtained pigeons from the fanciers from Putten as well, and they have been quite successful with them. Many fanciers did great in 2017 with the help of the Verbree pigeon breed. For instance, Gerard and Bas Verkerk (Reeuwijk) won the title of Best Yearling in the PIPA ranking (with a 50% Verbree), and this illustrates the excellent breeding strategy in Putten. Click here to browse through the best references of 2017.

A busy winter

Winter is traditionally the quitest of seasons in pigeon racing, although it will be a fairly stressful time for the Verbree combination: they still have a number of award ceremonies to attend, and after that the 2018 racing season will be fast approaching. Trying to match their results of 2017 will be a very tough challenge but we are confident Co and Piet will do everything they can to make 2018 an even greater success.
