Marc De Cock (Temse, BE) again responsible for numerous top results in other lofts

This is not the first time that the invaluable Marc De Cock pigeon breed gets praised for the excellent results of their descendants. This time we discuss the most recent top results in the many Belgian and foreign lofts that can be mainly attributed to the world class bloodlines of the De Cock pigeons.

World class breeder Eagle Eye

Like we said, numerous fanciers both at home and abroad have succeeded with pigeons from the top class pigeon loft of Marc De Cock from Temse. Marc himself has never shied away from a new challenge either, and he continues to look for nothing but the best. And it needs to be said: Marc has an eye for good quality pigeons, just like he has an eye for business. He has never hesitated to invest heavily in talented pigeons. It has led to some astounding results in his home loft, and just as importantly, fanciers that obtained descendants of Marc's most previous pigeons have in turn been very successful as well. One of his most valuable bloodlines is that of Eagle Eye (BE07-2135106), the pigeon that transferred from the lofts of Erik Limbourg (Brussegem, BE) to Marc De Cock's pigeon collection in late 2009, after being sold for a record breaking sum. The number of top results at national, zonal, provincial and club level are difficult to keep track of, as Marc continues to receive excellent references for his world class breeding bird on a weekly basis.

Eagle Eye, great racing and breeding bird

Bart Bassez (Maasmechelen, BE): 1st National Zone C Yearlings Argenton

Bart Bassez from Maasmechelen wins a 1st National Zone C Argenton for the second consecutive year, again with a direct De Cock pigeon. Last year he took a 1st National Zone C Argenton of 1,004 young birds with BE16-4013245 Lady Cock, the dam of which is a sister of Son 801 Aelbrecht. Click here to take another look at her pedigree. In 2017 he claims a zonal first prize in the yearlings' race, this time with a direct descendant of Eagle Eye, BE16-4013291 Young Eagle Eye. Young Eagle Eye is a son of top breeder New Eagle Eye, winner of a 1st Provincial Cahors and a 2nd Provincial Vierzon, and a grandchild of none other than Eagle Eye. This pigeon has an impressive pedigree, since he is also related to Eagle Eye from his mother's side through BE10-4014073 halfbroer Eagle Eye. Click here to see the full pedigree.

Gert Noels (Ham, BE): 1st Provincial Brive 882 pigeons

The 1st Provincial Brive was won by BE15-2214948, a hen from a joint breeding of Gert Noels and Marc De Cock. The dam of the winning hen is a granddaughter of Eagle Eye and a daughter of E11-4312816, a daughter of top pair Eagle Eye x Mysterie Lady (Olympiad Pigeon Poland 2011). This outstanding pedigree can be found here.

Eddy & Maarten Leutenez (Kruishoutem, BE): 57th National Cahors (5,639 pigeons)

BE13-4288082 Zomerjong wins a 57th National against 5,639 pigeons from Cahors, and he was successful in Cahors in 2016 as well, when he won a 7th National Cahors of 6,164 pigeons. His pedigree is quite something: his sire was bought from Marc De Cock, and he is a direct son of Eagle Eye x Dochter Limoges (De Rauw-Sablon). On top of that, the dam of Zomerjong comes from two direct Marc De Cock pigeons as well. Take a quick look at Zomerjong's pedigree here.
