This is his motto: "Our breeding goal is to breed new first prizes winners and ace pigeons only from our very best racing birds and our most valuable bloodlines."
This approach can be found in every pedigree of Hans-Paul Eßer's racing team, and it proved a particularly successful approach after his fresh start with a group of young birds in Düsseldorf in 2010. He managed to win an impressive 59 clear first prizes since 2010, including a national win from Straubing (484km) against 10,273 pigeons, as well as 6 regional victories in the competitive Regionalverband 413 union against 6,910 pigeons on average. In addition, he won two Olympiad Pigeons in the sports category, as well as several ace pigeons at regional and national level.

Needless to say, it takes a group of top quality pigeons to win so many top results in such a short period of time. Hans-Paul Eßer has a fine collection of pigeons, and he is the kind of breeder who is always looking for better birds. This explains the extraordinary level of quality in his breeding loft. You can tell from the pedigrees of many of his racing birds that his breed consists of several generations of talented pigeons. He appears to have a limitless source of top quality pigeons, which shows that Hans-Paul Eßer is quite an exceptional breeder indeed, who knows his pigeon family in and out, and who knows how to raise the bar season after season.
