Auction weekend closes at 274,600 EURO – Bart Geerinckx 4,500 EURO/pigeon

Nine different auctions closed this Sunday, and we briefly discuss each of them below.

Bart Geerinckx - 11 pigeons - 4,500 EURO/pigeon
In this auction Bart offered for sale 11 youngsters of his best breeders. The most expensive pigeon was a youngster of Blue Lagoon x White Bourgeske, which goes to Japan for 9,000 EURO.
The pigeons have been sold to fanciers from Canada (1), China (4), France (2), Iraq (2), Japan (1) and the USA (1).

Rudi De Saer – 11 pigeons – 1,218 EURO/pigeon

In this auction we had a group of youngsters of Rudi De Saer's best racing birds. The two most expensive ones were two youngsters of Neymar, which were sold to Iraq and Belgium for 1,800 EURO each. The 11 youngsters raised 13,400 EURO in total, with pigeons going to Belgium (5), Iraq (3), China (2) and India (1).

Hardy Kruger – 7 pigeons – 1,721 EURO/pigeon

In this auction we had 7 youngsters closely related to Black Power, Hardy Kruger's stock breeder. The 7 youngsters raised 12,050 EURO in total, with an impressive average sale price of 1,721 EURO per youngster. The most expensive young bird was a youngster of Black Diamond, which goes to Taiwan for 3,400 EURO. Its nest mate goes to a different Taiwanese fancier for 3,200 EURO. The 7 pigeons are going to Taiwan (3), The Netherlands (1), the USA (1), China (1) and Switzerland (1).

Freialdenhofen & Sons – 8 pigeons – 1,856 EURO/pigeon

Father Freialdenhofen and his two sons have built an excellent reputation as an extreme long distance loft in recent years. They offered for sale 8 youngsters of their Forrest Gump line, and the 8 youngsters raised 14,850 EURO in total. The most expensive pigeon was sale 1, a youngster of a 1st Int. Pau, which is going to Taiwan for 2,900 EURO. The 8 youngsters were sold to Taiwan (4), the United Kingdom (1), South Africa (1), The Philippines (1) and Germany (1).

Houben J,L&N Collection – 9 pigeons – 2,544 EURO/pigeon

This was a very successful event for one of Europe's last Houben pigeon collections. The 9 pigeons were sold for 22,900 EURO in total. The most expensive bird was sale 5, which goes to The United States for 4,400 EURO. The second most expensive pigeon was sale 4, which was sold to a Taiwanese fancier for 4,000 EURO. The 9 pigeons will be shipped to Taiwan (6), The United States (2), and China (1).

Collectors Items – 23 pigeons – 1,571 EURO/pigeon

In this auction we offered for sale a group of 23 collector's items. The most expensive of them was an original Leo Heremans, which was sold to China for 6,600 EURO. The second most expensive pigeon is a youngster of Gunter Prange's 520, which goes to Taiwan for 3,800 EURO. The 23 pigeons raised 36,125 EURO in total.

Scheers-Lodewijckx – 7 pigeons – 1,707 EURO/pigeon

This Antwerp-based top loft raised some talented pigeons, along with some youngsters. The 7 pigeons raised 11,950 EURO. The most expensive bird was sale 1, Black Beauty, which goes to China for 3,600 EURO. The 7 pigeons will be shipped to Taiwan (4), China (1), The United States (1), and Japan (1).

Team De Jaeger – 8 pigeons – 1,191 EURO/pigeon

This auction attracted particular interest from Taiwanese fanciers, with 6 out of 8 pigeons ready to be shipped to Taiwan, including this auction's most expensive pigeon: a youngster of Warrior was sold for 3,400 EURO. The 8 youngsters raised 9,525 EURO in total. Six pigeons that will be shipped to Taiwan, the other two will be going to a loft in Japan and Belgium.

April Auction – 73 pigeons – 1,429 EURO/pigeon

In this auction we had a group of youngsters that had been not been paid for by their respective buyers this season. The most expensive pigeon is a youngster of Sakis Minovgioudis's Meeuwke 12, which goes to China for 6,800 EURO. The second most expensive pigeon was a top class pigeon from the Black Sea One Loft Race, which goes to The Netherlands for 6,000 EURO. The third most expensive pigeon is a bird of Mike Ganus, which goes to Kuwait for 4,800 EURO. The overall revenue for this auction is 104,300 EURO.
