Today, the 1st of April, was the closing day of 8 different auctions. It was a very successful auction weekend, with an average sale price of just over 2,960 EURO/pigeon. We briefly take you through each of the auctions.

(20/07/2017) Etienne Meirlaen (Deurle, BE) wins a 1st - 2nd - 2nd - 1st Provincial in four consecutive weeks

After his provincial first prize from Pau Etienne went on to win two provincial second prizes (2nd Prov. Agen and 2nd Prov. Barcelona) in two weeks' time, and he has now taken another provincial first prize, this time from St. Vincent. He confirms his status as a national champion in the extreme long distance.

(30/06/2017) Etienne Meirlaen (Deurle, BE) wins 1st Provincial Pau (Mont-de-Marsan)

He had already won a 1st and 2nd National from Pau in 2014 and a 1st Provincial Pau in 2016, and the long distance champion from Deurle has now added another provincial first prize in the extreme long distance classic from Pau 2017 to his palmares as well. This is quite a list of results, and we think "Mister Pau" would be a great nickname for Etienne.

Etienne has won two provincial first prizes, a title of 10th Nat. Ace Pigeon Extreme Long Distance KDB, a top result in the World Championship Thailand OLR and an impressive number of top prizes in the long distance and the extreme long distance in 2016, making it another spectacular season for him.

(29/06/2016) Etienne Meirlaen (Deurle, BE) wins 1st Provincial Pau in East Flanders

The Meirlaen pigeons have been in great form again this season. They won the Benzing One Loft Race in Japan over 700km and a 1st National Alençon 2016 (for Reilly & Son), and Etienne has now added a provincial first prize from Pau to his palmares, after having won a second place provincial from Châteauroux earlier this season. He is doing great!

(03/06/2016) Etienne Meirlaen bloodlines show their class for E Reilly and Son (Barnstaple, UK)

Mr Edward O'Reilly and Son from Barnstaple in Devon won the British International Championship Club race from Alençon on 28th May 2016 with more than four hundred and fifty fanciers entering over four and a half thousand birds. The bloodlines of this latest national champion can be traced back to Etienne Meirlaen's superb family of pigeons.

The pigeon of Etienne Meirlaen with ring number BE15-4254646 claimed victory in the race from Hokkaido Mori (700 km), which is part of the Benzing One Loft Race in Aikyu-No-Tomo in Japan.

A Meirlaen pigeon knows what it takes to excel, to dominate and to win, and they proved this once again in 2014, for instance by taking a double national win from Pau, and a provincial victory form Agen. In addition, no less than three Meirlaen pigeons have won a prize in the national ace pigeon championships KBDB, besides the prize mentioned in the title. Well done!
