(17/05/2015) Team Leo & Gerry Dockx (Berlaar, BE) a rising star in the longer middle distance

Father and son Dockx have developed into a top class loft in the national longer middle distance competition in recent seasons. Their racing bird Jente won a 1st Nat. Never in 2013, and Tarzan was 1st Nat. Ace Pigeon KBDB Young Birds Longer Middle Distance last season. They owe a lot to the iconic fanciers Gaston Van de Wouwer and Rik Cools.

Leo and Gerry from Koningshooikt near Lier have won an impressive number of prizes in their early career as pigeon fanciers. They were put in the spotlight as the winners of an ace pigeon title longer middle distance this season, after having already won a national first prize last year.

The first national race from Nevers was quite a difficult one. Leo & Gerry Dockx from Koningshooikt took the national first prize against 11,579 young birds. Their hen, Jente, achieved a velocity of 1201,02 m/min completing 470,581km.
