06/08/2020 - “Incredible.” That is how Albert Derwa summarised his 2019 season. We are now in the early 2020 season and Albert is still trying to compute the achievements of his racing birds last year. He reckoned it would be impossible to do better in 2020.
30/04/2020 - Albert en Francine Derwa-Luxem kunnen momenteel ook niet anders doen dan afwachten tot de Nationale Veiligheidsraad het licht op groen zet voor de duivensport. Ondertussen kunnen zij wel nog in alle rust nagenieten van een wederom fantastisch seizoen 2019.
15/02/2019 - DAL staat voor Duivensport Arrondissement Leuven en bekroont de beste liefhebber (melker) van het afgelopen seizoen van het Leuvense arrondissement. Het geheel wijkt in zijn concept volledig af van andere kampioenschappen daar het de collega's duivenmelkers zijn die onder mekaar beslissen wie deze eer toekomt.
09/06/2018 - The racing team of Derwa-Luxem has started the new racing team with fury. They have been winning one top prize after another under the leadership of Mon Amie and Izaura. Stock dam Paulien played a crucial role in this succes story.
21/03/2018 - De Primo and De Zoon, Invictus (1st nat. Issoudun), Rosella (2 x 1st prov.), Vallari (1st prov. La Souterraine), Pricilla (1st prov. Gueret), Daughter Paulien (3 x top-20 national), Rosella (1st ace pigeon B.U '14 and 1st ace pigeon B.U. '15), and Lena (2 x 1st prov.). These are all outstanding pigeons that saw the light of day in the pigeon loft of Derwa-Luxem, and they all stem from super class hen Paulien.
21/12/2016 - If we were to dedicate an article to the most renowned pigeon lofts in Belgium that manage to deliver season after season, Albert and Francine Derwa-Luxem should not be left out. 2016 saw the racing birds of Derwa do what they do best: winning races!
27/08/2015 - The old birds have had a fantastic season in the national longer middle distance races, including two provincial first prizes and a victory in the zone. It seems a new generation of racing birds is now ready to take over, since the young birds' team of Derwa-Luxem has been quite successful in the sprint competition in recent weeks!
09/07/2015 - Vorige week kon u het relaas al lezen van de zonale en provinciale zege van de '88' van Albert Derwa. 2 weken na dit exploot wint de blauwe duivin opnieuw provinciaal, ditmaal tegen 1.110 oude duiven.
18/03/2015 - The Derwa-Luxem combination, which consists of Albert Derwa and his wife Francine, have had an outstanding 2014 season, winning no less than 17 first prizes and three provincial victories!
19/01/2015 - The outstanding breeding hen Paulien passed away last week in the lofts of Albert & Francine Derwa-Luxem from Herent. She was indeed a world class breeding pigeon, having bred numerous highly successful descendants, both in her home loft and for many other fanciers.
30/05/2014 - Vorige week was er de superuitslag en provinciale zege uit Vierzon, deze week pakte Albert Derwa uit met een dubbelslag op de provinciale Blois. Tegen 1.711 oude duiven pakken Albert en Francine uit met de 1e en 2e plaats.
24/05/2014 - Albert Derwa-Luxem is a household name in international pigeon racing. The descendants of his breeding hen Paulien have performed really well both at home and in other fanciers’ lofts, and his provincial winner from Vierzon originates from that same Paulien bloodline as well.
02/07/2013 - Last weekend Albert Derwa won a first zonal and first provincial from Gueret under the name of Derwa-Luxem. Winner of these two prizes was the one year old hen Pricilla BE12-2080130, a daughter of Paulien, the undisputed stock dam in the loft of Derwa-Luxem.
31/12/2012 - The town of Herent is about 20 km away from Brussels and it is the home base of Albert and Francine Derwa-Luxem, the combination that has been performing very well in recent years. Season after season they manage to compete with the best fanciers in Belgium with a small number of pigeons, in the sprint and the grand middle distance.
06/11/2011 - In the middle of the season Albert and Francine Derwa-Luxem already had a record coefficient to their name for the ‘National Championship Yearlings’… and the fact that they have won this title is certainly no surprise, rather more a confirmation of what everyone presumed!
