10/08/2014 - An additional 1,581 pigeons appeared at the start compared to the 2013 edition, which is an increase of 8%. This is not bad at all, given that 2014 has been a tough season. 19,307 pigeons were released in 2013, compared to 20,888 in this year’s race. Pigeons were released one day later than planned, on 26 July at 7:10 am.
