07/01/2020 - We saw an average sale price of over 2,000 euro for 135 pigeons on the first auction day of the new year, resulting in an overall revenue of 275,150 euro. We briefly discuss each auction.

03/04/2019 - A total of 223 pigeons were sold on Sunday and Monday across 11 different auctions, with a total revenue of 529,100 euro. This resulted in an average sale price of 2373 euro/bird.

10/12/2018 - 9 different auctions closed on Sunday, raising 395,175 euro in total for 160 pigeons, with an average of 2,470 euro/pigeon. We briefly discuss each individual auction.

05/04/2018 - We were asking ourselves how long it has been since team Freialdenhofen went through a season without claiming a national or international victory. They have a collection of top class racing birds that can really make a difference in the long distance. This pigeon breed is as good as it gets.

14/12/2016 - We had mixed feelings about our upcoming visit to the Freialdenhofen family. The pigeons were doing all right but we were worried about Dirk Freialdenhofen. We had read in an online article that Dirk was in very bad health at the time.

21/12/2015 - We paid another visit to the Freialdenhofen family in Aldenhoven. We would love to visit this loft more often, because we always get a warm welcome here. Unfortunately the town of Aldenhoven is 280 away. We have spent many great afternoons there, having interesting conversations and discussions. And their impressive pigeon collection is definitely worth the drive.

03/07/2015 - They have won again. Who? Heinz-Josef, Dirk and Heiko Freialdenhofen. Their victory was not that much of a surprise, as we have been reporting about this pigeon loft and their impressive achievements on a regular basis. I really enjoy writing about the kind people behind this pigeon loft and their super class pigeons. I still remember my first visit to Aldenhoven, when I got the chance of taking a closer look at their legendary Forrest Gump.

28/12/2014 - I finished my article about the 2013 racing season saying that 2013 had been a highly successful year for Aldenhofen, and that we were looking forward to 2014. Back then we were quite confident that the Freialdenhofen family would have another great year. Perhaps they could aim for an international first prize instead of a national victory this time? There is no doubt that 2014 has been yet another impressive season for them.

12/08/2014 - The race from Perpignan is traditionally the last international race of the season. Perpignan is a city in Southern France that sits along the Golfe du Lion (Mediterranean sea), 70km to the east of Narbonne and 30km to the north of the Spanish border.

01/07/2014 - An invincible yearling team of German champions Freialdenhofen & Sons came to set new borders on the International marathon race from Bordeaux/Agen … clocking 27 (!) from 56 pigeons on the first day from 860 km with an opening score of 2nd-3rd-11th-12th-13th-18th-22nd-25th-35th-39th-40th-etc. Simply phenomenal.

24/12/2013 - They have had a truly spectacular season, adding German national victories from Pau, Agen/Bordeaux and Barcelona to their list of achievements. Their international win from Pau 2012 against 8,399 pigeons is considered one of the highlights in their career. This loft has become a household name in the international competition.

12/07/2013 - This is an amazing performance. They have won three national first prizes in a row! In fact they have won the three classic races from Pau, Agen (Bordeaux) and Barcelona. Has anyone done this before? This says a lot about the quality of their pigeon breed!

10/07/2013 - Believe it or not, this loft have won yet another national first prize! Last weekend they took another national victory in Germany, again with a pigeon from the bloodline of Forrest Gump.

22/06/2013 - They had already won the international first prize from Pau in 2012 and this season they took the first, the third and the fourth national prize for Germany in the classic race from Pau. This makes Heinz-Josef and his two sons Dirk and Heiko Freialdenhofen the the true specialists in the long distance competition in Germany.

11/03/2013 - They have won many races and they have been racing outstandingly well. Their most recent highlight was the winning of a first international from Pau against 8,399 pigeons! They are among the very best in the international races.

02/07/2012 - They have had some great victories in the past, but this international win from Pau is a dream come true for Heinz-Josef, Dirk and Heiko Aldenhofen.

06/07/2011 - What a triumphal march for the ‘kings of the German grand distance’ in the National Bordeaux … the test for their yearlings which was passed with flying colours. Holding the entire podium with also the 5th and 7th National … a unique performance from the excellent ‘Forest Gump’ dynasty

31/05/2010 - Nadat reeds op 17 en 23 maart jl. inbraakpogingen in de duivenhokken van de Familie Freialdenhofen en Zonen hebben plaatsgevonden, is er op 30 mei om 23.39 uur wederom ingebroken.

17/03/2010 - In de nacht van 16 op 17 maart jl. werd rond 02.45 een poging tot diefstal gepleegd bij Freialdenhofen & Zoon (DL)
