03/11/2018 - Norbert and his son Stefan had one of the most remarkable results of the season, by clocking the fastest pigeon overall in a sun-drenched but very demanding race from Angoulême, with an astounding 17 minute lead in the yearling's race, and even 25 minutes ahead of the national winner in the old birds' race (two pigeons of Joël Verschoot). This is a rare achievement indeed.

In mid-October they added the title of 3rd National Ace Pigeon Shorter Middle Distance YBs to their palmares as well, with racing bird Neymar Junior. This adds to the already impressive reputation of his sire Neymar, and of top class breeding pair Schumi Junior x Belle.

He eventually took his first national victory in the race from Montauban 2015, as the fastest of a total of 6,119 pigeons with a 10 minute lead!

In het weekend van 12-13 mei stond in West-Vlaanderen de interprovinciale Tours op het programma. Vanaf deze vlucht is het voor de West-Vlaamse fondmannen “de” start van het seizoen. Want ze moeten o.a. punten pakken voor de fraaie gratis kampioenschappen die jaarlijks door de I.W.V. worden uitgeschreven.
