02/12/2011 - The national long distance champions KBDB 2010 faced a great challenge at the start of the season! After the sale of their entire racing team at the end of 2010, they only had a team of yearlings to start 2011 with… but they immediately displayed their class!
01/12/2011 - The first edition of the Wuhan-exhibition took place on the 27th and 28th of November. Wuhan is known as the political, economical, finacial, cultural/educative and logistic centre of the whole of Central China. At the invitation of the organisation, PIPA, under the leadership of Nikolaas Gyselbrecht, was present at the exhibition to meet friends.

First of all he laughed and then answered “It’s quite simple really we believe that at the end of the day good blood will always tell and if the birds are managed correctly they will bring back much of the original outlay and if enough effort is put in you will make a nice profit!’’
30/11/2011 - This weekend, on Saturday the 3rd and Sunday the 4th of December, the Doncaster Old Comrades Show 2011 will take place. Doors are open from 9.15 a.m. till 5 p.m. on Saturday and from 9.15 a.m. till 3.30 p.m. on Sunday.
12/11/2011 - Questions come into our PIPA-offices almost daily regarding the imminent auction from the Belgian success formation Verreckt-Ariën which will start on the 28th of November! The interest in this internet auction is already enormous, and grows day by day.
30/11/2011 - For the third time in the last four seasons Norbert & Stefan have been flagged as 1st General Champion in the prestigious competition from the I.W.V. It concerns a competition where the best from the whole West-Flanders competes with each other in the grand middle distance and long distance.
29/11/2011 - Saturday morning I was up early to get the train to Telford to go to the UK's largest one day pigeon show. Geoff was busy building an extension to the stock loft so he was unable to go with me, hence the trip by train rather than drive the car. The trouble was, no direct rail links to Telford, so it was Bath to Bristol, Bristol to Birmingham, Birmingham to Telford, then taxi to the show.
05/12/2011 - Verreckt-Ariën has 40 x 1° Provincial on its honours list and 3 x 1° National victories within a period of just 8 racing seasons! But the remarkable thing here is that almost all of these provincial victories were achieved by descendants of the wondrous stock couple, the ‘Golden pair’ Verreckt-Ariën, formed by the ‘Dikke Lowet’ BE97-6499247 x ‘Lang Lowet’ BE97-6499255.

27/11/2011 - Moerkerke, a municipality in the north of West Flanders, is home to the duo Fangio Lannoo and Stefaan Ballegeer. Fangio and Stefaan, both pigeon fanciers in heart and soul, managed to become champion of Belgium with the youngsters in the national races.

22/11/2011 - The championship of the best yearling hens 2011 on the international races (2 prizes) is known. The best three pigeons are from Belgium: first are De Clercq-Vervaeren from Rillaar, second is Etienne Meirlaen from Deurne and the top three is completed by Bert Penne from Nederhasselt.
21/11/2011 - My name is Richard Chambers and I am a teacher and the loft manager at the Kingsmead Technology College School Pigeon Loft. We have set up a racing pigeon loft at the school to try and encourage more young people into the sport, and also to give young people at our school an alternative to the Playstation’s Xboxes and TV screens that so many of our students are dedicating there spare time to.

20/11/2011 - As well as the speed races, the practice of the small distance races is still strongly present in Wallonie (south of Belgium) where a lot of lofts have the reputation of being specialists in this discipline. After the victory of Loppe, Beukenne or yet again Jeuniaux-Lecocq, respectively in '05, '07 & '08, this year, it was time for the association Charles-Michaux from Lobbes to be crowned national champion of the small middle distance KBDB !
19/11/2011 - The championship of the best yearlings 2011 on the international races (2 prizes) is known. The winner is Lionel Vermander from Oekene (Belgium) with his cock Brilliant. Second is Karl-Heinz Koers from Mandel (Germany) and third is Luc Van Hoecke from Oedelem (Belgium).
