30/12/2018 - It has become an annual tradition for PIPA to bring you an overview of the ten most-read articles (all languages included) of the past year, right before the start of the new year. We do not take into account the race pages, the club pages or the rankings. We take a look at places six through ten!
27/12/2018 - 2018 has been another fabulous season for Stefaan Lambrechts, who was racing from his new loft in Nijlen. He had some fantastic results in the middle distance, he was on top of his game in the national races from Bourges and Chateauroux, and the national championships KBDB 2018 were a major success as well.
23/12/2015 - A lot has been said about the Koopman pigeons and their impressive palmares over the years. This pigeon family has managed to dominate several NPO races season after season, while their opponents are often struggling to keep the pace.
25/10/2013 - Dirk managed not only to win the title of first Nat. Champion KBDB Sprint Young Birds but he also took the title of first Nat. Ace Pigeon KBDB Sprint Young Birds with quite a spectacular coefficient.
10/08/2013 - It sure looks like it; their top class hen First Lady achieved a coefficient of 1.1, which is a significantly better result compared to last year’s winner of Marcel Wouters, who took the national Ace Pigeon title with a coefficient of 1.527.
21/04/2013 - He was the national champion at the sprint for young birds KBDB in 2010. He was the national champion sprint young birds KBDB and the first national Ace Pigeon Sprint Young Birds KBDB in 2012. How does he do it?
02/12/2012 - Winning the first National Champion Grand Distance KBDB 2012 is quite a challenge. Jan Ceusters from Berlaar has won this title as a top class fancier with a simple and no nonsense approach.
29/11/2009 - Averbode is well known for its centuries old Premonstratensian monastery. Research gave me the following information. The foundation of this monastery dates back to 1134. So far this borough has 78 premonstratensians wherefrom 38 reside in the monastery, the rest live and work elsewhere at home and abroad.
25/11/2009 - The absolute ‘NR 1’ of Limburg in the Middle Distance! Human life is a collection of beautiful and less beautiful to sad moments, of love and pain … although luckily the heights of the ‘peaks’, and the depths of the ‘valleys’ differ from person to person. Someone who embarked upon a road sown with roses was without doubt Pros Roosen from the Limburgs Kermt, near Hasselt.
22/12/2009 - The clean brooding dishes are drying against the inside wall. This father and son duo have serenely nestled themselves in the chairs in the pergola. The walls are plastered with pigeon photo’s and trophies, pigeons that have performed beautifully.
16/11/2009 - The provinciebaan is the connecting road to Tienen and at the top of the hill there is a house with a garden. A small garden at the front and a large garden at the back. A new rustic house next to the in-laws and a joint back garden gives a pigeon fancier the possibility of building beautiful and practical lofts.
09/11/2009 - This passes perfectly into the pigeon philosophy of the Herbots. Personally I would add “Winning together” because in Halle-Booienhoven there is a perfect team spirit where the pigeon sport is firmly professionally embedded
04/11/2009 - My former director and good friend Raf Luyckx managed to surprise everybody this year by winning the national title General Champion KBDB. In this national championship you have to prove that you have all-round pigeons.
30/09/2009 - The Willy Vanhoutte colony has already written many pages in pigeon history. In addition to provincial Ace pigeon titles he was crowned ‘General Champion’ of the province West-Flanders 4 times in 5 years (in 2000-’02-’03-’04), which delivered him the title ‘King’ of West-Flanders…
31/08/2009 - The area around Erps-Kwerps, commonly known as the ‘chicory region’, is described in the history books as an administrative and economical centre on the ‘axis’ Keulen-Brugge-London. Today there are still 2 castles from that time.
01/08/2009 - Will we be able to write: He did it again??? – The international Perpignan and the national Tulle meant that the 2 last races which qualified for the national championships ‘grand distance’ and ‘long distance’ respectively stood on the national long distance calendar. In other words, the die is cast.
