The popular television character was sometimes a bit eccentric, but he was above all an excellent strategist: what a striking resemblance to ‘pigeon guru’ Gert-Jan Beute. The performances he expects of his pigeons and his ideas on breeding have resulted in the best one-day middle distance pigeon of The Netherlands ‘Best of the best’ 2011.

15/04/2012 - They know how to win in Wijhe: Gerard and Remco have a very successful loft, with wins in three National loft championships and several National ace pigeons. With top pigeons like ‘Britney’, ‘Mika’, ‘Haykin’, ‘Kimi’ and about seven other National Ace pigeons, the fanciers managed to reach a high level, becoming one of the top contenders at national level!

11/04/2012 - Even though John and his wife Anja lead a busy life they already have a prominent record. With their (inter)national Ace bird 'Olympic Aurea' and super pigeon 'Smart Lady' they can be called a very successful marathon loft. Time to meet these 'Champions in the order of Baarle-Nassau'.

21/03/2012 - The registration for the Great Wall Golden Top One Loft Race 2011 has begun. Total prize money is 14.580.000rmb and the maximum number of pigeons allowed entry is 5000 pigeons.

26/02/2012 - At the national championships KBDB in Ostend, Danny Van Dyck was only second on the podium for the ’small middle distance youngsters championships’… It was only later that the KBDB corrected an error in the results, and that Danny was declared winner of the 1° National championship small middle distance youngsters KBDB 2011!

29/01/2012 - The colony of Rudi Diels definitely belongs to the circle of leading lofts in the middle distance in the province Antwerp. His ‘Goudhaantje’ paved the way to ‘national fame’ in 2001… in 2011 it was his grandson ‘Blue Gold’ which pulled out all the stops and put Rudi Diels on the highest throne as ‘national Ace bird small middle distance’ !

22/01/2012 - When talking about the continuity the least we can say is that Roland & Guy are the masters in the field! After two successive national titles in 2008 & 2009, they are again on the highest rung of the national podium in Ostend for the third time in just 4 years !!! An astonishing performance that nobody has previously achieved...

14/01/2012 - Whoever is shown the results from Stijn Van Laere will think they are sitting at the table with the national champion middle distance instead of the national youth champion KBDB 2011. Simply because there are not many fanciers at national level who can produce such a series of chain results… Stijn is not described in the region as the 'steamroller' out Kruishoutem for nothing!

12/01/2012 - The West Flemish wing of the ‘BDS-team’ can look back on a marvellous racing season in 2011. A year which ended with a bang in the closing national Gueret with double provincial victory in West Flanders!

08/01/2012 - For more than 40 years the East-Flemish success formation of father Raoul and son Xavier Verstraete have raced at the top of our national pigoen sport! The brand new title of ‘General Champion of Belgium KBDB 2011’ is then also very thick icing on the cake… the crowning of 40 years pigeon sport at an elevated level!

06/01/2012 - A real pigeon virtuoso… that's how we can perfectly describe the international Narbonne winner Old birds 2011 from Deurle Sint-Martens-Latem. The achievements that Etienne Meirlaen managed to perform in the 2011 pigeon sport season prove his great class once again… with the title of ‘General Champion’ by the Belgian Verstandhouding crowning his work!

01/01/2012 - We here the right to ask ourselves this question: WHO, in Belgium or anywhere else, did better than the Henrys during the 2011 season ? The answer is clear: nobody. From the 1st of April until the 31st of September, this loft simply acted like cannibals. And there were numerous damages...

27/12/2011 - Held in Phoenix Arizona at the Arizona Grand Resort and Hosted by the Arizona Racing Pigeon Federation. Nov. 30th thru Dec. 3rd, flyers from all parts of America attended along with flyers from Canada.

25/12/2011 - The formation Stickers-Donckers was the most laureate colony of our land in 2011 with no less than 7 classifications in the national championships KBDB! Formidable!

23/12/2011 - Yes it’s true the British pigeons are proving to be the birds to beat in the 2011 Sun City Million Dollar ‘Hot Spot’ races so far. A couple of weeks ago I informed you about N & A Evans & Cuthbert bird which won 1st place and the car nom in ‘Hot spot’ 1.

22/12/2011 - With weather calling for changes basketing of the pigeons was done on Saturday the 17th the day originally planned for the 3rd Hot Spot Car Race. The pigeons were fed and watered prior to loading in cool overcast conditions.

21/12/2011 - There had been rumours before, but Hans and Evert-Jan Eijerkamp have now decided to make the grand distance their main goal again for 2012, with the main objective being the Queen’s race in Barcelona. Their present stock of overnight pigeons, with cracks such as ‘Drogba’, ‘Mabel’, ‘Salinero’, ‘Tiesto’ and ‘Henry’ will form the basis of their colony, together with pigeons from Harry and Roger Wijnands from Maastricht, which were purchased in 2006 and 2007.

18/12/2011 - The least we can say is that this year the fancier from the province Namur will have played a big role in the national championships. With the title going to Nihoul in the long distance championship, for Alain Hoornaert with the long distance Ace Pigeon, it's now the turn of the Defrêne father and son to climb the highest rung of the podium, but this time for the national Sprint championship. A title we saw coming seeing the regularity of this loft over these last few years, most of the times where the national championships were concerned.
