Any fancier knows that good health, a solid strategy and good health can only lead to good results if you can rely on a group of talented pigeons. And that is why every fancier dreams of finding a breeding pair that can give multiple first prize winners and ace pigeons. As it turns out, the Vermeerbergen-Wilms-Mostmans combination has one such breeding pair in their collection: none other than Grizzly Wonder Breeder x Blue Wonder Mother.
A super class breeding pair
This National Wonder Family is probably the best sprint breeding pair Belgium has ever seen; the descendants of Grizzly Wonder Breeder x Blue Wonder Mother are a joy to watch. This pair was created in 2015 and it was clear from the start that this combination would be a major success. They bred four young birds that season; three pigeons for the Vermeerbergen-Wilms-Mostmans combination and one youngster that was given to Bjorn Rombouts. The three youngsters were basketed on 7th of June 2015 for a race into a headwind, and they finished in 1st, 4th and 9th place of 1,022 birds. And Bjorn Rombouts claimed a second prize with his youngster the very same day. It was obvious that a super class breeding pair was born. Four years later, about 10 pigeons from this sprint pair have won a total of 33 first prizes, as well as an impressive 64 prizes per 100.
Grizzly Wonder Breeder is a descendant of the renowned Pitbull of Karel Laenen (Herenthout, B), an excellent racing bird and an even better breeder. His pedigree also features the bloodlines of Stefaan Lambrechts: the lines of Olympic Bolt and his 2nd Nat. Ace Pigeon 188-13. Click here for the pedigree of Grizzly Wonder Breeder. Blue Wonder Mother is a daughter of Grandson Olympic Lievin (100% Heremans) x Raketje. Raketje won 6 first prizes from Quievrain. Click here for the pedigree of Blue Wonder Mother.

Expectations for the rest of 2018
Given the remarkably low coefficient of the two nest sisters, the Vermeerbergen-Wilms-Mostmans combination is hoping to claim a national or provincial ace pigeon or perhaps a national championship title this season, just like they did in 2015. They are also hoping to discover some talented new pigeons among their group of youngsters. They keep a close eye on the achievements of their breeding pair's descendants, and they are planning to put them to the test in a few longer distance races as well, especially with the results of some other descendants in foreign races in mind.
